Anon who's computer died to a power surge a few days ago here. Sorry to blog, but I gotta thank you guys. Took it in to Microcenter. They said they'd have to reinstall Windows, which would wipe my whole drive, but they could backup and save SOME of the stuff on it. This was $100 and $150 respectively. This was obviously a ripoff and sounded like bullshit, but I remembered you fags talking about getting a USB of Windows shit and booting off that to repair the OS or bios or something, brought that up, and they went>...oh, yeah, that'd work. And it'd keep your PC as-is, no wipe or backup needed.>$30And it worked perfectly. Everything's back to normal. Fucking hell. If it wasn't for you, /g/, I'd have probably paid a ton of money to lose who-even-knows how much of my data. Thank you very, VERY much, you really saved my stupid ass.
