>>108537444Good luck anon but /g/ isn't a good place to ask, everyone here is incompetent.
>>108537444I don't really pay attention to the manga sphere anymore, but I've heard the uploading hubs are not in a good place lately. Out of curiosity, what is your idea?
>>108538090I would like to create a client that works functionally the same as Hayase, it will scrape manga, torrents but stream them for the user and allow downloads if the user wishes. The client's UX/UI will function very similarly to Hayase as well to make it easy to use and understand for users who have never tried torrent streaming. If this isn't possible I will go the traditional hosting route but this idea I've had seems like it's worth a shot, I just need devs to pay that can build this.
You're not baiting anyone here, glowie.

Can this be a continuation of the /a/ thread discussing people wanting to create a new p2p manga host? >>>/a/287277850Also, someone apparently posted the WeebDex source (https://files.catbox.moe/2f8uub.zip), was able to run it with some changes.
>>108537727apparently not since he posted here of all places
>>108538141Make it available as a website because I'm not downloading another program
honestly someone just needs to make a torrenting site dedicated to manga. So instead of mangadex having images hosted on there it'll only have the cover and the chapters will be replaced with torrent files and magnet links. And to access the site, you must create an account, and have it point based. You lose points when you download the torrents, and gain points when you seed + upload actual data.like Bakabt there'll be a page where it'll have the lowest seeded manga chapters and you can freeleech it for some easy points. Its really that simple.
>>108537727This. Everything else is simple. OP how can you guarantee to users that the site will remain available and wont get nuked?>>108538141> manga hosting website>I would like to create a client that works functionally the same as Hayase, it will scrape mangaWhich is it? will the website hos the manga or will the client scrape them from elsewhere?
MangaNato, piratebay, lots of torrenting sites know their opsec proven by their long lasting standingmanga hoster just aren't up to their level
I like your words magic man.But we operate on a zero trust environment. Can we tell us more about the project?
>>108540894nyaa has a manga section, why doesn't everyone just use that
>>108538141So the main, most important thing you need to figure out is your opsec and how you plan to deal with DMCAs/"problematic" content like loli related shit. Also costs. Do you have any plans for these topics yet?
Hi Anon,Sounds cool but I have some questions:Why are you using @proton.me? Do you have your own domain? How do you intend to pay "$$$"? "torrent streaming" implies this is a project that has to run under the radar. This type of work doesn't usually generate paying customers. What's the current team looking like?Do you have initial investment capital or hardware in place?
>>108540392 #llUnfortunately this will not be for you>>108541007I have decided to create a client, I have already hired a few people with a long history in the piracy space and you may even know who these people are.>>108542786 #It will be a torrenting client, look up "Hayase" it will be up to you the user to add trackers/extensions to avoid DMCA and other potential lawsuits. I am essentially copying what Hayase is but for manga, if anons wanted a website I have decided against that as after talking with some people in the space that host a few well known sites, it seems to be impossible even with perfect opsec to stop takedowns/hunts especially when dealing with multi billion dollar corporations that have gotten smarter over the years. Plug in your extensions/trackers and the ux/ui will functionally be the same as a regular website but completely personal.>>108544731 #Read above, what the user adds via extensions/trackers lands solely on the user and their countries jurisdiction. If the tracker for example has content that might land you into legal trouble, that will be up to you to decide.>>108545216 #I have enough upfront Capital to do a lot more than what I initially wanted but this will be enough for now. I can host a website with a very large library and a lot of features with active devs but I have come to the realization that it would ultimately be a waste of time in the current landscape. Corporations are out for blood right now and this may be a cycle or the new normal, only time will tell. The proton is a burner for vetting. I have my own domain that I will not disclose here. This is not for paying customers, it is free on my own dime because I myself have wanted this to exist for a long time. Think of it like a passion project. This is not a business. If I decided to host a website for these services that would be a different case. When the project is completed I will upload a repo on a few different websites as well as here.
>>108545506I guess I'll mention one other thing, Crunchyroll actually has attempted to take down the repo and main website for Hayase multiple times even though it hosts nothing at all. Crunchyroll/Sony sees this software as a threat because of how simple it makes torrenting while solving the storage issue. I expect this to happen to my project but I have a few backup plans that will keep this project up indefinitely.
Besides the site by the dude who rips off fakku's shit, what's even left now that mangadex is shit?
>>108545522If you want a website I recommend something like weebcentral. It's what I have been using in the meantime at work.
>>108545506I see, so basically what you want to build is a torrent client with a search function that's easy to use. As far as I know, qbittorrent can already do the streaming and search. It probably doesn't look as good as that Hayase software tho, and it probably isn't as featurefull as what you want to design.
>>108545848Yes qbit can do this but it's daunting for most users. I want to streamline the process for manga just as hayase did for anime with of course a lot more features I specifically want users to have at their disposal. I believe torrent streaming is the future as it improves and gets more and more simple to use.
If your goal is for readers to read manga without caring about dmca, we already have Suwayomi.
>>108545944That is not the purpose, just a benefit. This software will be a lot different from suwayomi in ways some users may like or heavily dislike. If you like suwayomi you may not like this client.
>Do you want to develop technology for torrent streaming manga via a user client?Seems intriguing. Do you have some idea for an innovative use of libtorrent?>Do you want to get paid $$$?You're offering a job? What's the pay and what skills are you hoping for in a developer?
>>108537444Is this going to be JOP friendly?
>>108537444>Do you want to workno>Do you want to get paid $$$yes
>>108545506>>108537444Can you add an import/export feature for .xml lists from MAL or mangaupdatesI backed all my shit up on those sites a while ago and it's invaluable when an app or site shits itself and dies
>>108547424That's what's really sneeded. Plenty of EOP sites out there but an extreme shortage of sites hosting RAWs
>>108537444ETA on enshittification?
the more serious you get the more serious the consequencesit's fine to leave piracy at low level, lay low and dirty on the shoulders of kids with passion that last 2-3 years with their first job money, otherwise publishers will suffocate this stuff even morejust need someone that archives everything for sending others on these hosting adventures
>>108547653You are asking for trouble. If japanese find out your identity, they will remember and arrest you if you ever step foot in their country.Localizers get away with it because they don't serve the cashcow that is the japanese audience.

>>108548383Yeah, but as long as OP is the fall guy, it should be safe to take his money to make product.
>>108545506are you just some neet with cash or do you actually have the connections, experience, background, and legal resources to handle this project. what country is the compensation adjusted for
