And they are optimized for specific tasks. Haiku is just a fast and better version than what your local LLM can do. Sonnet is a coding king + good enough generalist. Opus is intened to generate huge peices of text. It's literally in the fucking name and whoever used old Opus knows that it always generated long texts by default. Because that's what it's devs wanted. Makes it easy to distill it.
