There are no genius programmers, engineers, scientists etc. Those are just people who give all of their attention to the thing they are working on.

As of April 2026 most of those "genius" programmers don't even know about the Iran war yet.

This is the scary thing I've realized about "studying, working hard and becoming successful." You need to forget about everything else!

Since when have we been at war with Iran?

We aren't, we're just having aggressive negotiations and they're getting the better deal!

Iran gets;
To toll the strait of hormuz in chinese yuan and make more money than ever
America gets;
To lose the world reserve currency and collapse their global empire

There is no SWE problem that cannot be solved with enough thinking. That's the difference between engineering and politics. The latter only facilitates rumination.

>This is the scary thing
How is that scary? Mastering a subject is one of the most pleasant things you can experience in life.

It's scary knowing if you somehow wind up in a mental hospital a doc will probably ask you what day of the week it is to evaluate you.

Since Israel started it by doing an unprovoked missile strikes on Iran. Then Americans joined Israel despite having near 0 domestic support, but Epstein files are held by Israel+Russia and most media in USA are under Jewish control.
Or am I mistaken?
Since we are talking about teh intersection of technologies, talents and real world here, it's important to mention how the majority of actual geniuses end up slightly disfunctional due to how they are treated early on. Often their parent want to cash in and ignore the social aspect of their kid's development. When it comes to more regular people who are just very good (talented) at something, they are often overworked too much to care about geopolitics. While their manager gets the credit for commercial success achieved by the team carried by few. So it's again a social thing. They allowed others to treat them that way. For some reason.
On the other hand, people who have no talent and are good for nothing, also want to have nice things. But the only way for them to get it is by taking it from those who actually deserves them. It's just a natural flow of things.
If you have talents, well read, aware of politics, rich... You are basically teh elite. An aristocrat. By virtue, maybe even by blood too.
Aristocracy is a society of a few. People who can afford to do what they want and chose something else than drinking-drugging their life away. Most people are not like that. Why would you assume they can be like that?

and you have to live like a monk, give up on spending time for almost every other activities

Is this like when trannies think they're winning by castrating themselves?
