Is Amazon going to survive the aipocalypse?
nah
I hope no
Disgusted.
>>108546275I saw one of these with 200+ reviews and clicked on it out of curiosity. The cover was AI generated. The text was AI generated. The description was AI generated. The author's profile and picture were AI generated. Every review was AI generated.Never let them tell you that gatekeeping is bad.
>>108546275oldfags should unironically switch to ChromeOS
Nah we just need another round of covid
>>108546355
>>108546275They instigated the AI bullshit themselves. It's all part of the plan, Anon.
I guarantee you 100% of these are coming out of india
>>108546275Most of their profit is from AWS (cloud hosting) these days, and has been for years. Selling physical goods is high-revenue but high-cost.
>>108546448
The real question is why haven't you done the same thing?
>>108546275I was looking at programming books the other day and basically it's a shitshow on amazon, if it's not coming from a real publisher there's a 99.9% chance it's ai slopthe worst part is that amazon actually shoves these in your face while you're browsing legitimate books, I think their algorithm priortizes new releases and there are thousands of slops being dumped onto the platform daily
>>108548581tech books have been dead a while. and amazon isn't against all these AI books. they even have the absolute shittiest print-on-demand service now. you can buy one of the old favorites and get something that looks like 3rd gen photocopy on the cheapest paper.
This isn't the worst of it. The absolute worst is authors will spend significant time writing something, and then once they upload it to Amazon it will be copied and the exact same story/concept will be reposted with new AI slop covers, drowning out the original. You could spend 10 years writing something and a week after being uploaded there's 50 slop copies of it, and Amazon doesn't care because they get a cut all the same.
>>108546275this will be steam once someone makes a framework where the ai can do everything without a human having to put all the pieces together
>>108548809Nah, Steam has a $100 USD submission fee
>>108548748i only buy manga and it's safe (for now)
