I used a G500 for 12+ years. Even replaced the scrollwheel a few years ago, but then the wheel started double clicking. The replacement part was only $20, but I didn't want to deal with it and decided it was time to upgrade.

I've been using the G502X for a few days. It's great. Way lighter, three more buttons and feels good. It has a learning curve with the side buttons for me but I'm getting use to it as I use them a lot in FPS.

One of these. I don't play MMOs so I haven't needed the side buttons yet. I might find a use for them eventually. Like most mouses in this category the mouse wheel fucked up, so I had to disassemble it and lubricate the wheel again to get it to work once more.

I have a G502X with a board I bought on aliexpress with hotswap sockets
Issue is I haven't found proper mousewheel side switches. So I have those disabled because they're fairly sensitive and if I try to click mouse3 sometimes it will click those sides as well (and I honestly don't see the point when I already have 3 other buttons I don't use)
>>
>>108548919
I like the size as I use fingertip grip. The scroll click stopped working for a while so I smashed it a bit and now it works again.
>>
>>108555834
I'm liking it more as I get used to it. Originally didn't know if I was gonna like the more ambi shape since I had been using some flavor of deathadder since the 3500 back in 2009. If you're using a viper now it's nearly identical in shape to that. Also nice that it has DPI buttons since basically every other gamer mouse these days doesn't. If you get one then you might as well pick up the charging dock, it's $8 after you use one of the several discount codes you'll find in youtube reviews for it.
Absolutely insane that razer still charges $50 for the mouse dock chroma.

I recently bought the Logitech X2 Superstrike because I was curious about replacing physical clicks with haptics. I prefer the way it feels, but I'm finding I accidentally double-click more often.
>>
>>108548919
M90. There is no better.
>>
>>108561439
I'm more interested in the clicks because them being inductive (theoretically) means they should last forever and never double click. I've heard the middle click is the same as logitech's other mice where it'll release if you let up on the pressure without physically unclicking. Just a shame that they didn't put much thought into the other clicks besides the main two.

I'm not sure what they were doing on TikTok, but with my current settings I can't click it by tapping the sides. It has a configurable actuation force, and at high sensitivity I'd definitely trigger clicks unintentionally, so that's probably what happened.

Yeah they were discontinued pretty quick. I did have to swap out the switches but that's hobby-tier soldering so not really an issue. yeah I will. Thankfully opening the mouse up seems to be very easy. I doubt there's something wrong with it it's just that I've been using a light middle click for the past decade and am not used to the stiffness; I used to own zowie mices a long time ago and the mouse wheel of op1 feels a lot like they used to. Stiff wheel clicks are probably fine for the majority but not if you use it heavily in games, at least not for me.
