My friend wants to try Linux. I recommended her Debian. Was this a good choice or not? I still have an option to recommend her something else since she hasn't gotten around to installing Debian yet.

You don't have to change anything because it runs perfectly fine out of the box, but it's still Arch under the hood so if you decide to go deeper into Linux, it lets you. Only use Debian if you're over 60 years old and don't care about your packages lacking 2 years behind.
