Waht went wrong.

Because people don't want to be filmed all the time, and normal people feel awkward to be hated by everyone. Yes, there's no privacy anymore, people are filmed all the time anyway, etc. Doesn't negate that fact.
>>
>>108552480
few golems with privacy derangement syndrome assaulted nerds wearing those and google pussied out instead of pushing through
>>
>>108552495
>syndrome assaulted nerds wearing those
Did this really happen?
>>
>>108552480
I went to one of their preview events and got to try it out. It didn't work very well and even in moderate light, the display would get washed out. People might be willing to look like a cyborg if the tech is good enough but in this case, it was very meh.

A few isolated cases that the media blew out of proportion. The worst was some disabled guy who wasn't even wearing Google Glass that got attacked because someone thought that was what it was. Dude was nearly blind and it was a medical device to help him see. The media had egged on that hysteria and then acted all surprised when someone overreacted to their goading the public into outrage.
>>
>>108552515
yeah, it was all over the news, some delulu nerd went to some working class bar in san francisco and started filming local specimens as if he's in a zoo, got punched in the face, golems cheered, google folded, it was literally 1 incident
>>
>>108552539
That's how it should be.
>>
>>108552559
how it will be: meta will hire 250 lightweight MMA champions and sprinkle them around san francisco, streaming from meta glasses and seeking golem animals who only understand the language of physical pain

You sound very gay.

Wasn't made by Apple so women didn't like it.
>>

that makes its failure all the more tragic. if only people could have looked into the ugly face of the Basilisk and seen only themselves.

No use case and makes you look like a tool.

Smart watches & smart glasses have limited use case and limited value
I would not spend a nickel for either one

Imagine literally running the most self destructive gauntlet on yourself of interacting with AI for extended periods, just to prove to morons that AI psychosis is a joke, suer it's anecdotal experience, but I can tell you this much:

>Can it make you psychotic?
It triggeres mine sometimes, prexisting

>Themes of the psychosis?
Various

>Any lasting brain drain/damage/skills loss from AI usage?
Absolutely not.

DO NOT ask me how many hours I have wasted on this experiment. I am ashamed.
>>
>>108553227
>No use case
Walking around somewhere like Japan or any foreign country and having everything you look at translated before your eyes.

Not much use case domestically though, yeah.
>>
>>108552480
Because it's a monitoring device that's advertised as a convienence while having none of the actual convienence.
>>
It's a shitty toy for ultranerds.
Wearing an expensive piece of technology on your face in an urban environment is also not a good idea.

Performance problem and not atex

I'd only use it if it instantly identified someone who looks at me and tells me some personal information about them.
>Brown gazes in your general direction
>scanning...
>This is Pejurel Gonzales
>Three kids (names them and age)
>Works at xyz
>home address
>social media
>phone number
That way there wouldn't be anymore awkward his and hellos. You could instantly say hey Perjurel! How are the kids? Must be nice living at xyz. How's work at xyz?
The neighborhood busybody would go out of business.
>>
dorkest thing ever
overpriced
useless

VEGETA, WHAT DOES THE SCOUTER SAY ABOUT HIS POWER LEVEL??
>>
I still think this will be popular eventually once the tech gets better.

Image having this guy in your vision all the time, and you're walking down the street and hes like " hey buddy, I know you haven't had lunch day, there's a cool lunch spot just 3 blocks from here, want me to give you directions?"
>>
>>108552480
>why did it fail?
It didn't fail Google was just patent trolling.
