I have no issues using teams on Linux, other than occasionally having to restart my browser(like 2x per month).
Zoom on the other hand, sucks balls. Has crashed my desktop multiple times. It auto-minimizes and creepily follows me if I change the workspace.

Most people prefer to have visible feedback cues from your face as they talk to you. I had a hard time going on video when I just started WFH during covid because I never used webcams as a teen. But once you get accustomed to it, it makes sense. It helps to know everyone is actually paying attention and not just jerking off waiting for the call to end.

I use a webcam from '98 with a resolution fo 320x240@10FPS. The image quality is fantastically pixelated and full of poor compression artifacts. The best part is it somehow overheats and starts getting worse and worse as time goes on eventually just stopping. If I run it in 240x180@10 it doesn't overheat so I often do that. Every time the HR karen wants cams on for some useless fucking training she gets the potato cam.
