Is there a viable alternative to Discord? Probably not. I'd sure like to hear what it may be, but as far as I am aware, there is no other service that provides all of the great things Discord does. Only services that exist are half as useful as Discord is. And if you actually have friends, good luck convincing them to move to something half as useful "just because".
