Based Andrew the Zigge telling the llm jeets to fuck off already. The policy every open-source project should adopt. I personally am willing to use Claude at work just to get my manager off my back, but I would never desecrate my personal passion projects by using a clanker.https://codeberg.org/ziglang/zig/pulls/31680
>>108564961> Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:> Discussing this Code of Conduct or publicly accusing someone of violating it.https://ziglang.org/code-of-conduct/#safe-constructive-onlylol
>>108564995I kinda wish 4chan had this policy for talking about it's rules. It's really annoying when some wannabe janny derails a thread by rules lawyering. It should result in a ban just like announcing reports does.
>>108564995Clankers and claner goyim are not people, so it's ok.
I think it's foolish to judge code based on its author and not the code itself, as well as rejecting free work. It's odd that people posting on 4chan don't automatically agree with such a concept considering posts here matter on their own merit rather than who wrote them, identity completely removed from the content.
>>108565007>>>/global/rules/8
>>108565025I'm not doing that if that's what you mean. If you mean it could be applied to many of these cases you're right but it isn't. It's an effective trolling strategy because the mods are very hands off. The only counter is to repeatedly break the rule on purpose to make that person keep screeching like a faggot. You will get banned for that but at least you sink them with you.
>>108565044> the mods are very hands offThat’s why I come here and I’m pretty sure that’s why a lot of other do too.
>>108565044I have no idea what you're talking about. It seems like you have a mental or social disorder of some kind so I do not want to discuss with you.
>>108565063Well some retard filling up the thread yapping about things being against such and such rules ruins the fun.>>108565067>It seems like you have a mental or social disorder of some kindYou are telling me this while you have willingly made the choice to come spend your time on 4chan.org so I know you're lying. You're one of us.
>>108564961Would be funny if someone submitted the same code again, but this time claims they wrote it themselves.
>>108565082Non sequitur.
>>108565092Does a person decide to commit themselves to a mental institution for a week on a lark? We both know why you're here. You can tell me how abnormal I am all day long but you're here too and it takes one to know one. You'll never claw your way to the top of this bucket.
>>108564961>I personally am willing to use Claude at work just to get my manager off my back, but I would never desecrate my personal passion projects by using a clanker.Lol noAll open source projects should adopt LLM because there's simply not enough resources for complex open source applications.Meanwhile, corporate faggots using LLMs should be forced to release their code under GPL/AGPL because ALL models were trained primarily on open source code. LLMs simply allowing corporations to use knowledge produced by open source community without contributing back.

>>108565139Nah it was just my subconscious taking a shit on this thread.

>>108565014>>108565086The code got clocked as AI like a tranny. Not from disclosure. So yes, the codegen is poor.
>>108565014Would you still come to 4chan if you knew 60% of the posts and growing are written by LLMs?Why even bother if you enjoy that, go straight to the models.
>>108565014In a perfect world we could do this. In the real world AI is heavily used by people who don't know what they're doing but want to be helpful. They end up being unhelpful because they just shove AI slop at people that the maintainer/creator has to take time to review, they themselves often don't even understand what they're shoving at maintainers to review. Often maintainers deal with so much of this and review so much unhelpful code that it's better to just block AI contributions altogether. It's not worth the time invested to sort through a mountain of slop for quality contributions.Ideally AI would offload much of the work a maintainer has to do, but again this is the real world not a hypothetical and in the real world it actually increases the amount of work they have to do. It's also just annoying, and creators/maintainers are human, so you have to consider their personal enthusiasm to interact with AI whether you like it or not. You can't just apply bean counter corporate management to random people on the internet making things often for free.
