Its the meme that wealth isn't flashy which is a complete lie since most multi-millionaries drive a sports car/luxury car and wear thousand dollar suits. Jewelry varies but Rolex/Omega watches are relatively cheap even if you are a poor fag making 200k a year you could feasibly afford to buy 2 of them every year.

No clue man it's a cope from poor fags. Just because my Sunspel 140$ Polo doesn't show its logo it doesn't make me better than rich people who spend 10x on polo. I wear a 500$ watch and no one gives a shit. Displaying status matters in certain business context but more importantly if you can afford it then no one cares. If you want to buy it for whatever reason no one really cares. A ferrari is nice but i'd take a Toyota LFA over that due to my tastes. I am just to broke to afford either.

This one gets it.
Clearly it implies that Ahmed is a billionaire and very racist. That is how his company operates.

Personally I don't hate people for looks etc, but I do agree with Ahmed that only a monkey-minded person would wear flashy stuff and obsess over stones. Civilized people know it's just a currency. A tool you use to exchange goods. Not something to wear. Unless you're a savage.

Yes, they are literally sold there. Or exanched for valuable stuff, like livestock.
You would think it's cool unless you have children. That religion was shilled to people exactly like you. Childless and lonely men. They were promised either women stolen from enemies, or the ones in the muslim heaven.
Insanely well engineered religion for the time. Works like a well lubricated machine to this day. Because it relies on things that don't change.
Maybe it's not tech, but it's fun to learn about from an social engineering point of view. The way the brainwash people with "prayer" is one of the most fascinating discoveries for me personally. They turn kids brain into a mushed potato, before those can even reason, before teenage years they already cannot think about anything but Allah, because all the prayers.
In Islam humans really are treated like biorobots and exploited the way a cool hax0r drives his botnets.
Can recommend learning about it.

>>
>>108566453
Yes, I make sure that I am working at least 25 hours per week (5 hours per day) and if I start to get below that then I tell my boss verbally that I have a little extra capacity, maybe 5 hours, does he have an additional task for me. I'm always aiming for about 30 hours per week of consistent work which will often turn into about 35 hours per week so be very carefully ot maintain that 25-35 hours per week sweetspot.

OR you can just say fuckit and never expect a raise or promotion and that in about 5 years your career will be dead and gone in the next layoff.
>>
>>108565160
Should I go an apply for a job that I don‘t know I will get, but could teach me a lot of cool stuff I want to learn, maybe even has a better future in other companies or I stay with the job I already applied and went through interview rounds and that looked pretty good, but has none of the cool stuff. Laid off from the current job amd will be jobless in some time.
>>
>>108566510
Forgot to add, both jobs are in the same company otherwise I would have already applied to the other job.
>>
I'm not sure if I'm going crazy, or I'm retarded or this company really is just falling apart.
I do migration work, supposedly the original version is correct. I gather data, half of it looks wrong. I gather new data the next day, the other half is now wrong. Data my work depends on gets migrated from Mongo to postgres to S3 and back to postgres again within 5 days. One server starts randomly crashing, but it's not reported, instead I get stale data. There is no way to actually freeze everything, but even if there was the target software has to be validated against live systems in the end and before I have implemented everything it becomes obsolete anyway. No idea what I should do.
>>
>>108566518
>>108566518
I'm not sure but the one time I was in that exact situation and I tried to pivot for the cool job, right when I was about to get the offer the company then said they had decided to reorg and cancelled both jobs. I'm not sure if that is some HR game or if I fucked up or what. but that's what happened.

In retrospect I guess I should have accepted the lame job, worked it for 6 months, and then applied internally for the next cool job that came up.
>>
>>108566495
>in about 5 years your career will be dead
I don't get it when people say this. No it won't. I can go interview somewhere else and I can say whatever tf I want. I can tell them I get a yearly promotion and I'm the best employee ever, but I'm looking for a new challenge, or something.

>gone in the next layoff
They don't do layoffs but might as well at this rate of price increases.

But anyway ok lets say I work a bit harder, I'm not sure they would give me the raise so what's the point. But sure I guess I can try to work a bit harder for a few months before asking ... Fuck
>>
>>108566561
>i don't get it when people say this
there is an expectation of what you are capable of based on how many years of experience that you have and if you get into the situation that you are capable of meeting that expectation (because you've got 5 years of experience dicking around doing baby shit) then you will get no-warning fired within the first 3 months for poor performance.
then what? Are you going to apply as an Jr. Software Engineer at a challenging job with 5 years of experience already on the resume? Naw, your fucked at that point.

SO it sounds like you now need to find a new job with the excuse "I'm looking for more challenging work" and then, with the fresh slate you have there, apply the aiming for 25-35 hours of work sweetspot that I described.

I am trying. I mentioned I will work a bit harder for a few months before asking for the offer, I will try to talk differently too.

I haven't made a single commit in weeks because I was in a bad emotional state, and probably sounded lazy as fuck when communicating as well. So until summer or so I will try to make a comeback on both fronts.

When I show them a better offer, I don't even want them to match it, I just want a raise, I'm ok with less just to work at this company.

>>108566591
Ok I get your point. That's not a problem for me. I'm lazy and bad at talking, but skill is something I have going for me, fortunately.

Like I said to the other anon, I will be making an effort on both talking and actual output for a few months until summer or so, then show them an offer from another company. I can't take too long because a guy recently left due to not getting a raise, and I probably want that to be recent.

I can tell you want honest feedback so don't take it as me demeaning you... but:

Assuming that you have designed a database, and automated the devops, understand HTTP protocol extremely well, and have integrated with a third-party API, along with that other stuff you said, and are capable of gathering your own requirements... THEN if you applied to my organization for a mid-level Software Engineer role I'd hire you at $90k and give you 3 months to see how well you knew your shit before deciding whether to keep you or fire you. I do have a feeling that you would be a keeper but I'd really want to feel like you were blossoming into a senior by the time we got to the annual review, then I'd throw you a nice $10k raise, and at the end of the second year I'd expect to either promote you to Sr. or just keep you at that same pay and same title forever until you quit, or stuck around, either way I'd be satisfied.

>>108566802
if you go get an offer and show it to them, they will match it, find another candidate at that pay, and then fire you.

I think you do have a lot of potential, but need to move on. Apply to a mid gig that sounds really hard.
>>
>>108566927
Oh... P.S. When I say promote to Sr. I mean promote to Senior and pay increase you to $125k. then I'd be expecting you to become one of my right-hand men and if you did then I'd give you a 5% pay increase every year if you came through for me every year, and if you didn't again, i'd let you just sit there at same pay same title.

I have a weird problem, I'm in some kind of crisis. I'm just a stupid anime dweeb but I can code so I ended up freelancing for a big company and now lately I'm being invited for business lunches in fancy restaurants by the top sales persons and shit and I'm just a basement dweller who wears black hoodies and sweatpants. I don't even have any proper clothing and I don't know how to dress or act like these civilized educated men.

Buy some Uniqlo Polo's and nice Wrangler jeans. It won't break the bank but you will look at least decent. If you can however get some button downs and nice T-shirts(undershirt).
>>

what country? it's important since I have to look at what brands you should go to
>>
What motivated you to do anything?
Fear? I know I won't starve, a my colleagues aren't intimidating to me.
Kids? Don't have any.
Wife and gf? Don't have one. If I did, and they made me want to work harder at my meaningless job, I'd be more miserable.
??
>>
>>108567079
Just say: hey thank you for the invitation, I really appreciate it, but I won't be able to attend.

Just keep doing that.

After a few rejections if it starts feeling akward: just call sales dude on teams and say thank you for the invitations, chuckle slightly but not very hard, and say you are a computer geek, happy to be working here and glad for the recognition, and glad to be working with them, but that you prefer to stay at home.

If he is open to attending such events then I'd suggest one pair of grey slacks, black dress shoes, black belt with silver buckle, and a black button down shirt; get measured for proper shirt size. Keep it tucked into your pants. Wear that same shit everytime like a uniform. If you get a stain on it, replace it. If you get a hole in it, replace it. Get it all dry-cleaned and pressed.
At the event: If you normally drink alcohol then have one beer and only one beer. If you do not normally drink alcholol then don't drink anything with the excuse that you like to keep your mind sharp. As far as food, just order whatever the person who invited you orders "I'll have what he's having". Speak when spoken to. Otherwise keep a very low profile and answer questions with as few words as possible but in a friendly manner. keep your answers extremely vauge without seeming evasive.

there... happy?

Just buy it online. Fuck it money is meant to buy you things and if opportunities are walking around flashing their tits at you then you need to be prepared to standup for it.

For women's clothing Uniqlo is just fine if you like simpler designs that aren't gaudy.
>>

>>
>>108567266
ok, this is my last post, if you are a chick then same uniform: black dress shoes no heels, grey slacks, belt w/ silver buckle, black button down shirt tucked in. if you are a chick button it all the way to the top. if you are not a chick button all the way up except the collar button.

if you're a woman: Ann Taylor or Talbots
if you're a man: Men's Wearhouse or Jos A Bank

the sales people at those stores will actually help you get proper fitting clothes.

At this point there are no career benefits because its all a ceiling. Every effort is to work less for the same pay. The competency crisis is going to be so fucked.

Acquiring status symbols is merely obtaining surrogate status because nobody knows you. Very wealthy people don't need these surrogates because they've surpassed them.

how it feels to work for a 45 year old boomer that has absolutely no idea about anything related to technology
>>
(part 1)

i applied to a mid-senior low level rust position at a 2 billion usd valuation company in europe. listed salary range was like 40k to 70k. i have 5 years of professional experience with c++20, with several additional years spanning from open source where i used rust with ffi and rayon for crypto project. i received a positive response the next day, and yesterday i attended a live interview with hr and engineering manager.
>The most lacking clarity was in the answers to technical questions and clarity about your work experience.
what technical questions? the "manager" in question did a 10 question quiz with me that he read off his screen with intern level questions, like, "what's a unit test?", "what's a dns?", etc. about me having a hard time explaining what i do at work, i have autism and it's hard for me to summarize years of experience in 10 minutes under pressure because i did a lot during that time. i have this problem where i forget words in either english or my native language, then i try to explain using a different sentence, then i forget what i was even talking about. i can make sense only when i speak slow and can think of what to say next, but then i sound retarded. im better off explaining things through text.
>The example you gave, where a junior developer's code didn't work
bitch, he spent whole 3 months vibe coding to replace some "operation" within a java sample with operation that was exposed through c in java. his slop merge request was accepted because looking through the code, it kinda looked alright but there was like thousands of lines changed, yet he still fucked some tree structure rendering. he told the senior that it worked, so the senior merged it, then the senior assigned me to fix his slop because it was gonna take him like another month. we were going to fire him anyway for underperforming but he quit on his own.
>>
>>108568889
(part 2)

>For example, you stated that mock tests are not part of UNIT testing, but that is not true.
what? i said that you can write both with google test framework, but i guess i failed the niggerlicious quiz, like, "difference between wu and shu?" what???? then he asked about testing pyramid????? i didn't want to lose points, so i said that at the bottom is manual testing, then unit tests, followed by mock and integration tests at the top. he says, "aren't mock tests part of unit tests?" WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.

What is "mock testing"? I'm familiar with using mocks and fakes in tests (unit or otherwise) but I've never heard the term "mock testing."

Mock tests are stateful tests as opposed to smaller stateless unit tests.

Mock testing is faking data to test certain functionality. For example, instead connecting to a rest api to get some data to test the processing of that data, you just make up the RESPI api response and process that instead.

I just finished TikTok's Software Engineer interviews.

I aced all the interviews. All three of these interviews were with managers.

As I was told in the last interview, I already had the Hiring Manager interview and it was either the first or the second. I’m not sure which. Both the first and second interviewers submitted their feedback on the same day and got email that I passed.

It has been three days and no one has contacted me about this last round. They told me that the last round would be with HR. I am confused about what’s going on. Can you please share your thoughts?

Americans will genocide a country before they form a proper fucking union. You retarded cunt.
>>
>>108572006
whats a union supposed to do when they're shipping all of your jobs overseas, moron?
>>
>>108572032
Your union is supposed to take legal action against the companies offshoring your job, and you'd put pressure on these companies by striking. But nah, instead of having any bargaining power among your co-workers, let's just genocide over a billion people. That's a lot easier. You fucking idiot.

Yes, indians form an actual existential threat for civilization. We should genocide them. They are too retarded and scammy to be able to intergrate their masses into modern society. They’re nowhere near done flooding out of their country, and we are already buckling under the pressure. All to benefit an elite cabal of jewish pedophiles.

The other alternative is building a wall around india and keeping then all contained there but releasing a deathly racebound pathogen is much easier

Genocide is extreme but certainly not unmedicated, not inherently.
I look at problems and I search for solutions. The current problems in this industry has no other solutions than totally segmentating the third world from the rest; physically and digitally. They will keep multiplying like bacteria, too, therefore culling is the best solution to this problem imo.

I've been looking for a job since 2023. I'm looking for anything programming related at this point. anything, if I have to learn yet another programming language or technology I'll do it. I would post my CV here but I don't want to be doxed and mocked. I'm just tired, so tired, please help.

my own father is a boomer that the last time I asked him for help he got angry at me. I think I might have father issues. He has not cared or tried to teach me anything ever.

It's frustrating to be in a bad situation and not being able to cry for your own father for help, it really sucks. I don't know what to do, I'm asking in 4chan of all places at this point.

Covid turned all corpo life into white woman heaven. After we kill all indians we should kill all white women next. The great utopia will be populated by white and black men and their east Asian bunnies’ offspring

I have a college computer science degree. I have some projects in my portfolio and I worked in 2022 as unit tester in a company (it was basically a bootcamp and watching udemy videos and it was full of indians, but I was getting paid) for some months. I haven't had a job since then. I've been pruning my curriculum, changing the webpage and applying only to get automated responses and bots and courses ads and spam calls. I don't think they are reading my profile at all, so I feel that no matter how many projects or languages I learn, nothing will work. I'm hopeless.

In the coming weeks me and 4 other people have been invited to a intro meeting for a role and then we'll probably have a 1 on 1 talk.
It is me with 5+ years of experience, and older guy with over 10 years of experience and two other people that are good at their job but got less experience.
How do I mog my coworkers?

do i present myself as a senior dev now? i never had a junior roll because i had lots of flutter experience from personal work so my first job went straight in as a normal dev with normal dev pay, moved job when made redundant after 2 years, now been at current company 3. realistically i have like 8-9 years flutter dev experience personal and professionally. my pay is currently 40k which feels low when i get recruiters messaging me with offers in 50-70k range

likely you aren't doing anything wrong with your CV or portfolio. the job market is just fucked. i don't believe there's a silver bullet strategy that always works, because the job market is so chaotic and arbitrary. best you can do is turn off your brain and keep applying. you can ask past colleagues if they can tip you off on nepohire positions, offer to work for free/cheap at local startups or small companies to gain some experience, and mooch off of your parents and relatives as hard as you can. like i am talking disgusting levels of parasitical behavior. the economic forces currently siphon away all available wealth (money that should have gone towards funding your job) and directs it towards boomers' assets, so really there's nothing morally wrong about it. sadly it sounds like your dad seems like the type to prefer you were homeless (endgame boomer behavior) so you might be screwed on that front.

>>108572202
my dad has been a bit similar but luckily he's not a total boomer so he eventually did his own research and offered his sympathies over the job market. i never really got any real help from him but i appreciated him acknowledging it.

i think years from now, when it gets better, the people who have been down on their luck around this time will have trauma over it. i find there's something deeply humiliating and infuriating about this economy. maybe it's that merit and hard work seem meaningless insofar as whether you succeed or not, or just the general k-shape of the economy. you have boomers with portfolios who earn more sitting on their ass than a young person does working 2 jobs.

i think the biden/kamala admin's plan was to try to keep the debt crisis and economy from blowing up on their face while hoping that the rest of the world fucks up theirs. that would have given them some advantage in getting good deals and scrounging up a lot of talent for cheap. and they would fund it with their increased oil production and big tech. i think they would have gone to war to protect their interests too, however.

i think it would've been an unpopular admin though. just kinda more of the same as biden, like slowly trying to inch away from the precipice while all the corruption, GOP interference and chinese/russian influence pushed them towards it. but to be clear, they have not been looking out for the common people either, more like trying to protect US interests in general

trump's admin has been so catastrophically bad and stupid that i think the republicans will do horribly in the next elections, and there's a chance the democrats that get into power aren't totally corrupt and/or retarded. imo the worst part about republicans and maga types are NOT their politics, it's the fact that they're completely retarded and incompetent. like, trump WANTS the US to succeed, but he's so out of his element that he is doing the opposite
>>
>>108572859

>>108573483
He would've been better as a democrat politician at the age of 60 yr than a republican.
