what are the implications of discord having a kernel level anticheat?
>>108565975Imagine trying to complete achievements on a fucking chat app.
>>108565975>send a noti to every user who completed all the cheevos in one second>noooo its a kernel level anticheat theres no other way they could have known nooooodie
>>108565985Manmade horrors yada yadaThing is I don't think Tesla saw coming that people would be the manmade horrors, not technology.
>>108565975I got that when using Vencord and "##+js(aeld, visibilitychange)" to try and see if you can just auto-run quests in the background without focusing the client. It's pretty easy to detect it, but I'm still amazed the Israeli Jeets of Discord bothered with it.Oh and btw, go to Settings > OS Settings > Discord System Helper, their personal keylloger.
>>108566024surely it wouldnt be that hard?im tired of discord cucking its usersomeone needs to make a GOOD discord clientan actually good one. its unfortunate that the only people willing to do anything technical related to discord have an extreme cuck mindset. a simple hcaptcha terrifies them
>>108566050people keep saying that but it's no longer about how good a client is, it's about the network effect of having your friends there. there's no longer a massive technological between chat clients as when discord first appearedthe only saving grace will be if discord enshittify enough to make their userbase leave but as we've seen time and time again, people are very tolerant to eating shit
>>108565975i thought it was a website..
>>108565975>we may need to limit your quest accessDon't threaten ME with a good time!
>>108565985infantilization of adults mixed with gamification does that to a society
>actually using shitcord client and not just the browser versionyou get what you deserve
>>108566801Vesktop clears both.
>>108566889no it does not lmaoits still just the shitty bloated desktop app just with vencord and also a furry mascotits even more garbage on flatpak
If the anticheat is open source and free it isn't a problem. Fuck cheaters, the kernel should absolutely expose a protocol to be able to detect cheaters in video games, and it should be able to use harddware attestation for security.
>>108566913>If the anticheat is open source and free it isn't a problem.>hmm ok i wanna make cheat for this game, let me just look at this anticheat and how it works. good thing its open source so i know how to bypass it???????????????????????????????????smartesrt tripfag
>>108566941That's the thing. You need the anti-cheat to be using immutable hardware, similar to the TPM, for it to be effective. Then it can be open source and not bypssable.Real solution is to move everything to a user mode driver platform, then heavily restrict all things in the ACPI table which expose direct memory access. It will take a long time

>>108565975You deserve it for being too fucking retarded to use IRC like a human with an IQ over 80.
>>108566941It's impossible to run code without knowing what it does. This is why decompilation is a thing
