currently, 39. on over a year old thermal paste reapply
running a 6 year old acer nitro 5 and it couldn't be better considering its age. this might be one of the best "gaming laptops" ever made. and for a modest price desu

My pc normally hovers around 28°C when idle, and when playing games like Minecraft or hoi4 it's normally at 32°C

my cpu is 40c at idle and goes the highest of 70c while gaming
this is with the pre applied thermal paste
should i see if the temps lower if i put my own paste on ?

no idea. Had an absolute bitch of a time screwing on the air cooler too so I'm sure my thermal paste got smeared to fuck
framerate in games and fan noise seems alright

its extremely easy to put the plate on, i wanted to see if my own paste would be better than the pre applied paste. i wonder if i add more fans to the radiator to do a push pull will lower temps ? but then dust will get trapped in the radiator.

i have an aio, one of those graphene pad thingy and i have the fans to the lowest rpm possible unless needed.
i could get it down to 30 or something but i care more about silence than some meme 20°C.
