I've been in the market for a 270k since launch but it looks like Intel isn't actually interested in fucking selling them. There were three in stock at my local microcenter but once they sold they haven't restocked. Now Microcenter bundles are coming with a slower rgb ram kit when they do restock. Bleh. I saw that On newegg they don't even have a product page right now. They were selling above msrp at $350 instead of $300 and the page said 500+ sold when I checked a few days ago. If newegg sold 500+ and each microcenter sold 3, thats somewhere in the ball park of 1000 units in North America from your two biggest PC retailers Almost like Intel doesn't want to sell them...

7700x + b650 gaming x ax v2 Microcenter combo

It will not post, cant get to bios. DRAM light stays red. I've tried changing ram, reseating, moving it around.. no good. GPU is not plugged in.

I have tried q-flash plus to update bios.. dont know what im doing wrong. Tried cmos clearing, taking the battery out. I'm in despair, this couldn't be more frustrating. I've never had this kind of problem before.

Recently purchased and installed an under desk PC mount and found out my BT headphones won't connect past the table top of my desk. Tested another pair and the same issue persist where the will only connect when placed under my desk. My motherboard has built in wifi and those screw on antennas. I was thinking about purchasing a USB BT adapter but wasn't entirely sure if it would be pointless because it's solely a placement and interference issue with my desk assuming the extended range from the USB BT adapter would be the same as the wifi antenna's?

I'm losing hope in Radeon
Lately, the rumors haven’t been very favorable for the red side. There are indications that AMD may not provide support for the future FSR Diamond on the Radeon RX 9000 lineup. If that actually happens, it would be a pretty bad decision for both the company and its users, since such an important technology would end up being restricted to future GPU generations.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Nvidia continues to maintain a very solid ecosystem. In this scenario, if an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 and an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT have the same price, for example, it's perfectly understandable that someone would choose an RTX 5070. Some reasons include:

Better professional applicability, with stronger optimization (Blender, AI workloads, Adobe Creative Cloud programs);
Better upscalers (DLSS 4.5 + DLDSR);
Reflex 2 support (coming soon);
Considerably better support for MFG and path tracing;
Lower VRAM consumption and better memory management in games (GDDR7);
Longer driver support and more "democratic";
More promising future technologies focused on improving visual realism and performance in games and 3D applications (RTX Neural Shaders, RTX Neural Texture Compression, RTX Neural Faces, etc.).

At this point, I’m feeling pretty hopeless about Radeon.

I was a huge fan of AMD. I've had many gpus over the years, ranging from the hd 7970, r9 390, and currently the 6900xt. I also have bought a 3700x, then 5800x, then a 5700x3d in support of a "good company".

After AMD moved RDNA 1 & 2 to "maintenance mode," they've shown their true intentions of prioritizing short-term profits over long-term customer satisfaction and return customers.

For reference, my previous gpu, a 980 ti received day 0 game optimizations for over 10 years. AMD's 6900xt couldn't even make it 5 full years.

Due to their lack of priority support for a very capable architecture that is likely still being sold, as well as other blunders such as the Radeon Vii ending support after only 2 or 3 years, I can no longer recommend them to family/friends or my employer (part of my job is provide hardware upgrade paths for our 1,500+ servers).

Goodbye AMD 6900xt and future purchases. Hello Nvidia 5070 Ti. I sadly hope Intel can save us all from these two companies.

Edit: This goes far beyond "day-0" support. At the end of the day, AMD backpedaled. They wanted to reduce support for RDNA 1 & 2 but the backlash was bad, so they corrected to save themselves.

The fact they played into "amd ages like fine-wine" to sell objectively inferior products, then attempted to reduce support for products still in their prime, is telling. At this point, it's prevalent they will drop support for products they're STILL selling as early as possible.

Hell, they were still selling vega powered laptops a couple years ago that had noticeably bad, "maintenance" support.

If they dont have a sub out connect your PC to the line in of the sub and then the line out to your speakers. I only know that the Klipsch Heritage 2.1 system had an amp inside the sub but I tried it and it had very noticeable static noise. I don't think most independent subwoofers have an amp for passive speakers and not everyone wants an amp on the desk. Active speakers and sub are not that complex you only need to make sure you can connect everything to each other

guys i just bought a new setup. not bought but yk setup a new custom pc my self i have gigabyte b850 mobo ryzen 7 9800x3d 32 gig ddr5 rams and rx9070xt the setup is fire but i have a very annoying issue. in certain games acc ig all games i played when im on windowed or windowed fullscreen my game feels wayyyyy smoother than regular fullscreen. I play minecraft,cs2.rust, death stranding etc etc and every one of these games i had this common problem where fullscreen makes the game feels like choppy and unsmooth even tho im getting more than 200 fps including rust. but when its windowed it works like butter and everything works perfect and not to mention I get more fps on cs2 with windowed fullscreeen than regular fullscreen. i deleted the drivers bla bla downloaded them back and it did not work. i resetted the whole pc it did not work. im ab to lose my mind. i dont wanna play rust in windowed mode nor mc. and my fps counter is way inaccurate too. in rust steam fps counter annnnd rust it self fps counter says im getting 180-220 fps but in adrenaline app it says im averaging 70 fps im ab to lose my mind. i spent shit ton of money. i been USING AMD CARDS SINCE RX590 came out and never seen this much bs w their card. GUYS PLS HELP

Are there any upgrade possibilities to my main PC, perhaps? I was thinking about doubling my current RAM to 64GB or maybe 96GB, but does that mean I must get identical RAM sticks or can I add different RAM 3600 C16 sticks to work with my current ones? Hi, my pc that I purchased secondhand recently died on me, so I’m looking to start building one of my own. I’m not 100% sure where to start. Any suggestions on builds would be helpful!

Budget: $1400 max, anything below is much preferred Location: USA Use: Gaming, rendering, streaming Peripherals: All covered. OS: Windows 11

Games I play/expect to play: * Dead by Daylight * Fortnite * Call of Duty * Resident Evil series * RDR2 * Mortal Kombat 1 … just to name a few.

New or used components are okay; 1080p or 1440p; and, at least 1TB of storage and 16GB ram. I also don’t have a Micro Center near me, if asked. I’d like a white/pink build, but I’m open to anything!

I really don't get why a lot of users here are saying that they don't care about upscaling because only true rasterization matters. When the game engines require you to use upscaling, when the whole industry is moving toward upscaling, just saying that you only care about pure raster just sound a lot like copium.

It doesn't matter if you have a 7900xt/x and only play on 1080p. FSR4 still would have prolonged the lifespan of your card. The only reason people saying that they only care about pure raster is because we didn't have a great upscaling alternative. And if you say fsr3 is just as good as dlss, then you need glasses.

Making FSR4 exclusive to just the new gen is such an nvidia move. I was hoping that fsr would catch up in the future when I bought my 7800xt. It seems amd is finally catching up to nvidia, but immediately started pulling from nvidia's playbook.

All the AMD fanboys on this sub that love to hate NVIDIA, though with good reason, don't seem to understand that AMD is the biggest fanboy of NVIDIA at this point.

Did a humble PC upgrade today.

I replaced the two fans on my 280mm AIO with these be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4.
PC runs about 3C cooler now, and the fans are virtually silent.

Nothing flashy, but it's cheaper than upgrading RAM.

there's a guy on youtube that tests thermal pads and putty, snark's domain, he recommends putty over pads but I like pads more because my case is horizontal, the best ones on his list are upsiren 24w and fehonda 15w, but you should read his list and maybe buy putty

Really only worth it if you already need to change the thermal paste. In that case you should change out thermal pads aswell as I think somebody else mentioned. Ptm isn't an upgrade it's just thermal paste that last a bit longer.

Copper is much better at transferring heat than aluminum. Ofc, it's also much better at being heavy and expensive, so going full copper for your heatsink isn't common in mainstream consumer ATX towers.

I mean 5080 is nice but imagine getting one instead of waiting for 80ti.
Every generation I observed the plain 80 always seemed like a very gimped, overpriced version of an otherwise extremely powerful card and this changed nothing with the introduction of 'titan' or 90 cards.
I just like to get the best value for my money.

most bookshelf passive speakers I know use those speaker cables you either have to screw in yourself or preferable use banana plugs. From what I found now the one you posted has a Speakon NL4 output and there seem to be adapters to banana plugs but I cannot guarantee you in any way that this works cause I never used Speakon outputs myself.
