Reminder that if you use uBO you should remove addons such as Privacy Badger, Disconnect, Ghostery, ClearURLs, etc as uBO does everything they do but better.
Reminder that if you use Brave or Edge you should still use uBO because Brave/uBOLite is mid and does not do 50% of what uBO does and can do.

Reminder that you should enable additional filters (no they will not slow things down, they will actually do the opposite):
>Built-In 5/6, Ads 3/3, Privacy 3/3, Malware Protection 2/2, Multipurpose 2/2, Cookie Notices 4/4, Social Widgets 3/3, Annoyances 10/10

Reminder that you should enable "Suspend network activity until all filter lists are loaded".
Reminder that you can still purge caches but Gorshill doesn't want you to know:
>uBO > Dashboard > Support > Troubleshooting Information > More > Purge All Caches

Reminder that uBO supports custom filter-lists (https://filterlists.com/), here's some essentials:
>https://raw.githubusercontent.com/yokoffing/filterlists/refs/heads/main/click2load.txt
>https://raw.githubusercontent.com/liamengland1/miscfilters/refs/heads/master/antipaywall.txt

If you're a YouTube cuckster then definitely get:
If you got the huge thumbnails in Sub page use this to make them smaller (change the 6 to w/e you want):
>youtube.com##ytd-rich-grid-renderer:style(--ytd-rich-grid-items-per-row: 6 !important;)
If you got the huge sidebar thumbnails:
>youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.EXPERIMENT_FLAGS.kevlar_watch_secondary_max_width, 402)
>youtube.com###related a.yt-lockup-view-model__content-image, #related ytd-thumbnail:style( width: 170px !important; )

You can also disable pausing of videos when tabbing etc on various websites by using:
>WEBSITENAME##+js(aeld, visibilitychange)

what about port authority?
>>
>>108575830
Awesome thread. I've been using uBO for around 8 years and have never bothered to tinker with it, because everything JUST WORKS.
>>
>>108576693
They disabled ublock origin on chrome, now you've only got origin lite but its still quite good
>>
>>108576758
you can still use it on chrome, it's just one flag
still the question is for how long
>>
If you hate ehim enough to call him gorshill why are you using his software?

Just enable the "Block Outsider Intrusion into LAN" filterlist.

the only addons you need:
UBO
port authority
sponsor block
violent monkey
>>

I really gotta hop onto SponsorBlock and configure it properly one day.

>>108577132
No need for port authority if you got uBO.

It's not rocket science, it shouldn't take you more than a couple of minutes

why is ublock like this?
>>

Linux
Brave
uBO lite
NoScript
SponsorBlock
Also: pihole on my local network

This setup works for me. I never see ads, on YouTube or elsewhere.

There was a filterlist/userscript for Twitch but apparently the dude got bored of watching Twitch slop and stopped updating it.

cookie notices was a life changer for me when I realized they had it baked in. Literally every single website in my dogshit country has some gay faggot cookie alert spam and now I haven't seen a single one in like 5 years. They're actually more annoying than ads

Restart your browser after putting them in.

Yeah it can happen depending on your resolution/zoom/scaling.
Here's how it looks for me at 1440p 100% zoom, just change the numbers (402, 170) till you find something that fits your res/zoom.
>>
No, thanks. Ubo has bunch useless featurs i domt need just to ruin my fingerprint. Brave is the best option.

Remember to add Allow Right-Click to your extensions. It prevents taking over / disabling of the context menu, (text) copy protection, image download protection. Toggle on / off.

Looks like you got the A/B cuckery, try these 3:
youtube.com##ytd-item-section-renderer.ytd-watch-next-secondary-results-renderer.style-scope > .ytd-item-section-renderer.style-scope:style(max-width:200px !important; max-height:150px !important)
youtube.com##ytd-watch-flexy .yt-lockup-metadata-view-model--standard.yt-lockup-metadata-view-model--vertical.yt-lockup-metadata-view-model:style(transform: translateX(80%) translateY(-12700%) !important; height: 1px !important; width: 260px !important;font-size:30px!important; font-weight: 700!important; line-height:28px!important)
youtube.com##ytd-watch-flexy .yt-lockup-metadata-view-model__avatar:style(display: none !important;)
>>
>>108579554
It's not.
>>
>>108586168
If your text starts overlaying/overlapping buttons and shit get these:
youtube.com##ytd-watch-flexy #secondary .yt-content-metadata-view-model__metadata-text:style(white-space:normal !important; overflow-wrap:break-word !important;)
youtube.com##ytd-watch-flexy #secondary .yt-lockup-metadata-view-model__metadata:style(max-width:240px !important;)
(this might explode if you use 120%+ zoom)
>>
>>108586168
Try these as in one by one?
>>
>>108586219
All 3 at once, unless YT changed something it should look like the old sidebar.
If they did fuck something up then sadly idk what else is there as the ones from OP work for me.
>>
>>108586239
All three at once make my thumbnails extremely tiny

I think I'm just fucked, gonna leave it there, appreciate the replies
>>
why is ublock so good? it blocks more ads than brave, an entire browser built around blocking ads.
>>
I haven't gone to www.YouTube.com in probably over 15 years. wtf is wrong with you faggots?
>>
Is there anything to be able to use it on YT on Chromium? I get hit with the "Adblockers violate blah blah", I have to use the lite version on YT specifically
>>
>>108586145
Just hold shift or Ctrl when you right click
>>
>>108586372
>why is ublock so good?
Dunno why but Firefox on Android is kinda garbage. So brave still has its use case
>>
>>108588522
Just install uBlock on Android then?
>>
any good extension that can replace hoverzoom?
>>
>>108575830
>ClearURLs
wrong.
ublock origin stops your browser from sending the referrer headers, but it does not actually clean the url (e.g. if you share the link)
>>
>>108576852
NTA I've had that one enabled but some stuff still slips through like mega. Port Authority stops that.
>>
>>108588587
Imagus mod.
>>
>>108583107
ublock is one extension
>>
>>108588904
>it does not actually clean the url (e.g. if you share the link)
but ubo does. like op says you should use this instead:
