Is everyone alive? Idk what I'm hearing
me on the right
Congratulations on retreading the same thing we did decades ago with now-antique technology. I bet NASA feel real proud of themselves reliving their glory days.
>>108578355What really matters is that mostly all of them are alive.
>>108578355All fine but they're having issues talking to the boats that are supposed to grab them.
>>108578356>woo woo woo woo woofucking kek
>>108578046They finally can leave the studio

Re-entry (300x speed).

>they can't open the capsule
>>108578446The foul smell sealed the door.
How did they go to and from the moon in 10 days?
>>108578355Infected with moon virus. Enjoy the last remaining hours of civil society before all hell breaks loose
Why aren't they pulling the capsule to the recovery boat and lifting it up like SpaceX does?
>>108578569Hazardous gases>too stinky

What are they trying to do with this capsule dress?
>>108578266The space shuttle?>>108578199I didn't realise there was a thread. There's probably a bigger thread on >>>/sci/.
>>108578729..why the fuck is the main thread on the science board instead of the technology board, that doesn't make any sense
i never know this shit is happening until it's over. news sites need a "shit happening today" calendar
>>108578742There's live coverage in Bongistan because it's the middle of the night and our night-shift presenters on the 24-hour news channels are absolutely delighted that they get to present a story for once.
why did it take so long to extract the crew out of the pod? The door was open for a while no? Do they have to do customs check or something to see if they bought anything from space?
>>108578770There was some minor malfunction with one of the boats radios if I heard right. Also the capsule is probably insanely hot and still needs to cool before safe cracking it open
>>108578770They missed the two-hour deadline NASA set for the rescue.
>>108578770The astronauts are not used to our gravity any more, and I think they need some time before they can reliably get out of their seats.
>>108578770They had to stabilize the pod first then do health checks on everyone. They could have just yoinked them a bit earlier but no chances taken.
>>108578770Yes, welcome to trump's america
So how useful is this future moon base going to be? It's never going to be easy or convenient to hang out on the Moon; there's no water or atmosphere and the gravity is all wrong. Come to think of it, how are we going to launch rockets anaerobically? And the Moon isn't even noticeably closer to other planets, really. The whole idea sounds completely pointless to me.
>>108578841>One astronaut is black>One astronaut is CanadianI guess ICE are waiting for them when the boat drops them off.

>>108578199This gay shit site decided to "rangeban" me weeks ago. I can only post from my phone (which I don't do because using that tiny screen is ass) or have to go through a hotspot from the phone rather than using my home internet connection. Switching back and forth is also a major pain in the ass so I just post much less. Around the time it happened to me I've seen a lot of other anons complaining about the very same problem, so I'm pretty sure there are just less users around here nowadays.>>108578697It's to prevent it tipping over as the astronauts are brought out if I understood correctly.>>108578770Their satellite phone or something like that wasn't working.
>>108578885SHUT IT DOWN
>>108578905>This gay shit site decided to "rangeban" me weeks ago. I cclear cookies/cache. Works for me. It is annoying as shit though
>>108578924>>108578905they say IP range blocked, but that's not true. Resting cookies doesn't work. Had to email verify. Fucking fuck!!
Damn looks like one of the astronauts got badly burned in the reentry.
