in my cs uni classes the guys have rgb gamer branded laptops that would typically be like picrel (mostly with operaGX for some reason).the girls either use a slow Dell/HP (the type that'd be on a sneaky sales rep's quota) or an older mac.the foreign students almost exclusively use brand new macs and Ipads.

>>108579445>Acer Nitro 5I've been using mine for almost 6 years, since 2020, and it's one of the best/long-lasting laptops I've used. It was $999 at the time of purchase and it has held up so well. Still plays the newest AAA games (albeit at a lower FPS) even with its' mobile 2060. Recently put Linux on it and it plays my games even better somehow than it did on Windows, and there are drivers for literally everything, including the proprietary Nitro drivers that people have backwards engineered on github to make compatible with Linux. I don't get all the bitching considering most people ITT have probably never seen one in their life lol.
