Was Bitcoin the first software to fully solve the Bitcoin general problem?
I supposed someone, somewhere thought about linked list connected by hashes before the 2008 paper.
>>108584931this is the best explanation of bitcoin I've ever seen.
>>108584931>>108585649You guys are thinking of git, not Bitcoin. The breakthrough of Bitcoin wasn't the blockchain as a datastructure, the breakthrough was the incentive-driven decentralized consensus protocol, namely, Nakamoto Consensus, and its combination with UTXOs. You normies wouldn't understand. BTC still sucks, btw.
with blockchain you can capture assets values in a qualificable and quantificable manner.Value that physical paper don't trace. The problem is that when you give paper bill value to digital assets you create the apettite of artificial scarcity.Everyone hates artificial scarcity for similar reasons to the adoption of agriculture.>this thing is delicious, you know what would be good? Yeah there was some proof of work protocol used to prevent email spam and also as some sort of online currency experiment but not as extensively as bitcoin. What made bitcoin special was the 2008 financial crisis and the widespread internet access which allowed it to reach critical mass while peoples trust of banks and financial institutions were at a all time low.If bitcoin came out in 2006 it probably wouldn't have taken off and whatever project launched between 2008 - 2011 would have taken off instead.
