What is the absolute best Linux filesystem in 2026, ZFS or bcachefs?

bcachefs so you can observe as the dev descends into AI psychosis in real time.
>>108587114Filesystem for store thingMore thing store in same space good
I still just use ext4.
>>108587289>wasting cpu cycles to save a few megabyteyeah, absolutely worthless, it's the other way around pal, same thing with memory, cache all the things
>>108586523>bcachefsHow far along is this currently? Can the dev and his ai waifu successfully vibe code it to completion quickly enough?
>>108586523ext4 for root, ZFS for storage
>>108586523ZFS. It's like a forbidden fruit for Linux (ie can't use Calemares thus filtering 95% of Linux users). Also the more I work with it, the more I realize how good it is. Fro example, if you want to have Arch, Artix, and Debian installed on 1 hardrive, it's very simple and you don't need to resize or preplan storage. On top of that, it's trivial to make multiple versions of your installs that are independently bootable. It doesn't duplicate the data they both share, so it saves a lot on space. Then you have a great backup/diff system on top of that, easy and safe send/receive, great data protection, RAID, the list goes on. Basically, I SPIT on BEE TREE (Butter) FS. Bcachefs has a terrible name and isn't finished, so its irrelevant until future notice.
>>108587149why is filesystem development correlated with this phenomenon?
>>108586523ext4, of course.
>>108586813you can have snapshots on ext4plus it has native encryption that you can use with systemd-homed
>>108586523I use ext4 for my system and btrfs for everything else. Btrfs isn't being used all the time so no big risks of losing stuff I guess. I had corruption on my ext4 before and it was easily fixable. I guess it's just the nature of using a HDD and it being retarded sometimes. I might change btrfs to zfs in the future, I'm just too stupid to do it now and I need to learn how it works first.
>>108587149Why are people talking about AI psychosis? Any news about the dev I missed?
