I pretend to like my boss and tolerate his stupid programming opinions (which I can't even find any coherence in sometimes, like he's so random). I wonder if people pretended to like me when I was a boss. Probably yes. This world is a circlejerk.

My bosses were always product guys who had no clue what I was typing and were just happy as long as I made something that worked, looked good and didn't crash.
I don't think I could work for some sweaty nerd who would constantly go "uhm actually" on perfectly working shit.
I am a PM now and apply the same philosophy

yeah, definitely, my guy just cares deeply about this one the programming language and refuses to care about any other programming language. Pretty sure he would insist on writing everything in it, even if asked to write software for the space station.
