is your laptop repairable?
>>
>>
>>108595208
>lolnovo almost in the same tier as apple
Really went downhill huh
>>
>>108595208
>lenovo
>everything modular and easy to replace
>C
Lol.

>>108595829
only shitpads
>>
I'd rather shoot myself before doing another laptop repair
THEY JUST HAVE TO put the flimsiest cables inside
THEY JUST HAVE TO put the shittiest fans that will die in less than a year
THEY JUST HAVE TO put SSD/HDD in the most retarded spot you cannot reach without removing everything else first
THEY JUST HAVE TO include only one Jack port and 2 USB ports (only one is 3.0 btw)
THEY JUST HAVE TO to put sleep/wifil/lock button in the most retarded spot where you will press those buttons by accident
THEY JUST HAVE TO ship your new laptop with that one button that will die in half year for no reason
SCREWS ARE ALWAYS FUCKING MISSING EVEN ON BOX SEALED ONES, HOW?

Business class laptops tend to be way better. Newer ones are harder to get inside of, but when inside all the important stuff is just there.
>>
I've had laptops where you have to remove the motherboard to reapply thermal paste or replace the hard drive
>>
>>108595208
I'm liking my HP elitebook.
>>
>>108595208
now do the "is going to actually need repairs" tier list.
also, asus
>my wifi stopped working
>great, you have a nick on the plastic case and some wear on the keyboard, we'll need 800 to replace those
>but my wifi...
>do you want your wifi fixed or not
>>
>>108595208
>Lenovo at C tier
Guess it's all about consumer market devices then, cuz yeah Lenovo sucks cock in that regard
>>
My Lenovo Thinkpad is fairly repairable.

nothing pre-haswell counts.

it's just this easy

>Dell Precision 7k series
>almost everything is screws to disassemble with very few hidden clips
>open the back and SSDs, battery, ram, other random accessories are immediately accessible
Yes
>>
>>108596223
Me too. There's a video from HPs YouTube showing how to fully disassemble my elitebook and I can buy every little part I need. My Asus is also remarkably repairable but I don't see how HP gets lower marks than they do.
>>
>>108598421
Man, I miss that era of laptops.
>Able to get most of the important shit you need to upgrade (drives, RAM) out with those sections of the chassis
>Completely remove those to where you have to open the whole goddamn thing up to replace ONE (1) part.
>>
>>108598588
The fat workstation laptops are not too bad. No handy doors and slot in battery but it's just a few screws and the whole back plate comes off with all that shit accessible there.

Don't know, but I'm sure there's EU legislation cooking to ensure that the next one is
>>
>>108598404
Those nokia phones kept working once you reassembled them you know.
>>
>>108595208
Yeah, but can only be disassembled a limited amount of times.
