>>108604564my experience is the opposite desu. i hate visual studio's ux so much that when i have to work in windows i avoid it entirely and just run visual studio code. even then, there's a huge glaring painpoint i have with microsoft's toolchain, which is the lack of a scripting layer really gimping the power of the debugger. i basically have to rely on the immediate window with hand-crafted code baked into the codebase to induce side effects, and all kinds of weird cope just to have a fraction of the power i get from loading a python script into gdb. i still don't know how microsoft is still bungling this.btw if you're using gdb from a terminal, uh... you don't have to do that lol. every text editor under the sun hooks into it.
