The average American can't imagine using anything besides iMessage, discord, or mainstream social media platforms. There's no real utility for normies to use meshtastic besides maybe buying party drugs. Most "Journalist" are just mouthpieces for large interest groups pushing back against other large interest groups or pushing narratives. The idea of using anything remotely secure is unnecessary for them. The few actual journalist that would need secure and decentralized platforms are using superior methods of communication. Even the average criminal here aren't even smart enough to not post their crimes on Instagram reels. Suppressing what is basically a fancier version of a walki-talki is a waste or both time and money.In short, it serves no real utility or offer a advantage for most groups, Only hobbyist will use it.
