>>108611027Snow Leopard or Tiger. Mojave was already a toy.
>>108611042>Snow Leopard>not a toylollmao even
>>10861104210.4/Tiger was the last one.Going Intel and then losing Jobs like 2-3 years later killed OS X.
>>108611217This
>>108611217I doubt you ever used macOS, mojave was huge release, they added the desktop automatic sorting by file type, dark mode, corners were still square, finder was clean.
>>108611270That does look nice. I think Big Saar is when they made the UI iphoney.
>>108611270>I doubt you ever used macOSI have a PPC Mac Mini 2005 sitting right here next to me. I used Macs until Jobs died. Again, Apple lost it's Mojo when he went.
>>108611277Yes, big saar is when JEETIFICATION started.
>>108611296Now compare this to tahoe, kek.
>>108611342Looks great, desu. Do you have any real arguments why phoney design is bad?
I'm still on 10.11
>>108611635looks like glASS.
>>108611270>>108611281Zoomer BTFO
>>108611027system software 6 was peak apple design and it's not even close
>>108611027system software 6 was peak apple design and it's not even closeflat and aero's slop
finally had to install liquid ass on my phone, it’s somehow even worse than I thought it would be, holy shit. Just unfathomably awfulTahoe will never touch my macs. What a fucking tragedy
finally took the anal plunge and infected my phone with liquid ass, it’s somehow even more terrible than I expected, holy shit. BewareTahoe will never touch my macs. What a fucking tragedyFuck these captchas
>>108611042I stuck with snow leopard until everything like firefox dropped support. My Mac store, to their credit, never dropped support for it that entire time.Currently on 12.7.I'm still sad I can't use all my intel programs that didn't get updated.
>>108611027it was nice when os' didn't have to look like phone UIs.
>>108611027I'd say it peaked at Mac OS 9.
>>108611750You have around 1.8 years of support on sequoia hopefully they ditch the whole liquid ass thing after tahoe, and fix shit with macOS 27.
>>108611912...wait, there's something very wrong with that pic. I think it may even be some themed Linux.
>>108611912*System 7.1
>>108612350It just looks like he's using Kaleidoscope to me.
>>108611133>zoomer>thinking he has an opinionlollmao even
>>108612418*monochrome system software 6
>>108611958they won't remove it in macOS 27, they redesign shit every 5 years, liquid ass is here to stay until 2030 (and it's going to be even more enshittified in 2030)
YesIt's been almost a decade since I used macOS and recently I grabbed a mac mini M4 with macOS "that ho".I don't like how much radius the corners have, sometimes I fail to grab on cornersA lot of things haven't fundamentally changed, but some "advanced settings" I remember being there are no longer, or at least they have moved around a lotI notice more buggy shit (some widgets not working well), and also because I'm not using an amazing external monitor with a 5k resolution or something, I have to go and use third party software to fix scaling and resolution issues (and there's only one option that looks ok). I feel like I had less trouble back when I was just using a 1080p monitor back in those days. Except for font smoothing, but I turned that off and it looks even worse now.I despise the glass shit and I noticed that if you disable transparency effects, the controls look all sorts of fucking weird on the light theme. Like it wasn't in consideration. I understand this from linux but I thought I had a polished product here. Also I think the top panel being fully transparent is just ugly. I liked it when there was at least some background at least. At least the editing software I use runs considerably than on my beefier PC, I guess because there's a lot of software that uses metal or whatever the fuck.
>>108611027The most important thing is Mojave was the last version to support 32-bit apps.
>>108611677so you don't, got it
>>108611133Snow Leopard came out at a time when Apple at least tried to innovate in the computer space, the only valid reason use a Mac now is because the program you want to use only works on Mac.
>>108611635The corners being even rounder means more space is wasted
>>108611270All I remember from Mojave is they finally finished turning it into a walled garden with signed apps. Snow leopard and before it was marketed as unix with a good user experience. But the more popular it became the more and more they walled everything off to protect the droning masses of stupid users.
>>108611635its dysfunctional. this doesn't bother you if you don't do any real workcomputer != phone, they should not have the same ui
