I changed dead fans in a few laptops. that's about the extent of 'repairability' of electronics these days. I have done fine pitch soldering under a microscope and it aint easy, and you really need all the tech info that you would never get unless you are an engineer from the original mfr. I "repaired" a 40" tv once by replacing the motherboard. I use air quotes because it would do weird shit after like the power button would open the menu and the buttons would do things they weren't supposed to
