Does any of you want to buy a Daewoo DTH-29U7K-100D CRT TV?

Hey, here's the quick rundown on that old Daewoo CRT I was checking out earlier.Key specs in English, straight to the point:- Screen: 29 inches, classic 4:3 aspect ratio- Refresh: 100 Hz double scan – makes everything way less flickery than basic 50/60 Hz sets- Sound: Virtual Dolby Surround – takes the built-in stereo speakers and fakes a wider, more cinematic effect- Picture tube: Flat-ish CRT with decent color and contrast for its time- Inputs: Multiple SCART (some with RGB support), composite, S-Video, antenna- Power draw: Roughly 105-118 watts when running, drops to about 3W in standby- Standards: PAL/SECAM compatible, good for European stuff from back in the dayNow, why it's actually pretty decent for retro gaming:Man, plug in a PS1 or Dreamcast via RGB SCART and it just feels right. Zero added lag like you get on modern TVs – the controls respond instantly. The 100 Hz helps smooth out those 50 Hz European games so scrolling doesn't make your eyes tired after an hour. Colors pop nicely, blacks are deep, and you get that real CRT scanline glow that makes pixel art look alive instead of blurry mess on LCDs.It's not a pro studio monitor level sharp, but for the money it was back then it punches above its weight. Geometry might need a tweak after sitting outside, but once the caps are sorted it should handle NES to PS2 no problem. Dreamcast games especially look killer on it.If you're into collecting old hardware, this one's a solid daily driver for retro sessions without breaking the bank on a fancy PVM. Just fix those broken caps and cut cables and it'll probably surprise you how good it still feels.

>>108629147Why would you play PAL versions of badly ported games in 2026 when you can just play the NTSC counterpart?

>>108629147>Refresh: 100 Hz double scan – makes everything way less flickery than basic 50/60 Hz setsThis is interesting though since it's necessarily storing a full frame of data, it makes me question if it actually does introduce zero lag. Also, this will obviously break light guns since they detect position by when the gun sees the beam pass.
