I have a mac mini
I find I have to do a few tweaks all the same because I don't have an Apple certified monitor or an Apple certified mouse or if I need this one program for work it's not Apple certified enough so I have to go and pay almost a hundred dollars a year for a subscription to have decent virtualization unless I expose myself to some apparently reliable guy that puts up pirated software in there. There are things I like about macOS but certainly it's not like it gives me less headaches than linux. And when I think of a polished experience, suddenly I have some weird fucking trouble with a random application, sometimes even from Apple themselves and I wonder really if a lot of that is some bullshit. Right now, I'm dealing with AppCleaner being completely unable to remove files no matter how many times I tick and untick permissions for it.

What is so bad about Finder?
I find (heh) that it has proper file tagging and file search support (just shitty defaults), folder actions, a column view, view options per folder (pretty extensive at that, you can even set the grid spacing which is something that no file manager on linux will allow me to do and I it fills me with hate), an instant file preview (pretty handy with PDF files), it has practically everything a file manager should have mostly.
The only issue I've seen is that it has no equivalent to .desktop files so if you want to run an application with an argument you must always, always do so from a fucking script somewhere else, or the terminal.
