The only reason I used HDMI at some point was because my current OLED monitor does not support anything but DP 1.4 but it does support HDMI 2.1, and the latter I could disable DSC on without losing 2/3 of my refresh rateThe thing is now I'm on AMD disabling DSC is pointless, and DP works fine and I can do 360hz on 1440pI also have a mac mini m4 (don't ask) and when I connect it through HDMI I have no adaptive sync available on macOS, but it works through USB-C to DP (or USB-C to USB-C to my OLED monitor, but it's capped to 240hz because Apple is very fucking faggoty about external monitors).
