seconded.
everything, irfanview, 7zip, sumatraPDF are basic necessities for me. notepad++ too, unfortunate incident aside.

if you're gonna use such a functionless pdf reader, might as well use your browser
>>

How so? I personally find this sort of clean, native design to be more trustworthy than most.

do you know whats even more bloatless?
your browser
>>
>>108634643

No, I don't think a modern browser is less bloated than a small dedicated pdf reader
>>
>>108634616
well I am a bit of a pussy but my job doesn't require interacting with people
it's stressful to say hello to the other people working there but the job itself is fine
>>
>>108634647
the bloat is (you) needing to use yet another software
>>
>>108634656
You have a shitty definition of software bloat then

There is nothing wrong with having dedicated software for a certain task. There is something wrong with having one piece of bloated software trying to do it all (and do it badly)

Also because they've got a sponsor that signs the binaries so that Windows Defender won't screech. Plus, people who use it at work will have an easier time explaining why they need "System Informer" installed rather than why they need "Process Hacker" installed.

This makes my actual job easier and faster
I tried finding a replacement on macOS but nothing comes close in terms of speed. I type something and it's instant. The supposed alternative for it on macOS is some dogshit that takes too much space on screen to display a few files and half a second after typing. This is instant.
A shame because normal spotlight search is actually reasonably fast and Windows search sucks some mean fucking dick

>>108637931
Would use it if I didn't need to do something nobody else on earth needs to do (save pictures from PDF files quickly).
PDF X-Change editor is the best if you need a good number of features on Windows. It's freemium but really fast too and it has an option in the settings that disables all the paid features so you don't ever get nagged accidentally.
