Is anyone else having Chrome/Youtube shit itself recently?

I can't even have a mix/playlist opened on a second monitor without Youtube stopping the playback and asking if I'm still watching, even if I literally just clicked off the video.

And I don't even need to click the popup, I just need to have my mouse enter the frame from the browser window to continue playback.

What the hell is going on with that? It doesn't happen to any other browser I've tried.

How do these companies continue to manage to shit the bed constantly?

What are some decent lightweight browsers that don't suck dick in current year?

You need to be a Premium user for background playback

Then how come the other browsers don't have issues? This literally started after Chrome auto-updated when I had to restart it.

So far IE, and Brave have been playing playlists/mixes on my second monitor without issue. But Chrome interrupts playback everytime. So I don't think it's a Youtube issue the more I look into it. It seems like it's Chromes background throttling and window occlusion fuckery.

Maybe they are trying to conserve energy by stopping background tabs. It's noble if you think about it.
