I've tried many times, but it's hard for me, and I don't understand everything because I don't have eyes!!!Any suggestions? Should I learn any kind of software other than that? I just want to contribute to tech!
AHHHHHH IM CUMMING IM COMING SO HARD RIGHT NOW ITS SO GOOD
>>108635804Well I just had an orgasmic shit.
Why did you post an image of two guys contorting themselves to rim each other?
Imagine how long it would take to "read" a 1,000 line program with text to speech. Hellish. I'm not sure you could get around something like that.
>>108635828
>>108635828Not hard, the problem is with learning in the first place.
>>108635835I'm sure it could be done, but it would take forever, especially without the ability to quickly skip to parts that look relevant. It takes long enough to read 1,000 lines visually in the first place. I guess it would be better if you had some way to read the text in braille, but I don't think a device like that exists. If you just want to learn, I don't see why you couldn't just use text to speech on normal programming books, assuming you have the eternity required to listen to the whole thing.
>>108635784unironically learn webdev and build a dashboard website with charts and tables etc. that you yourself can navigate and understand perfectly. standardize your learnings and sell it to corpos or open source it.
>>108635879Thank you.
>>108635784Is this website that accessible?
I'm also retarded if that matters
>>108635935kek
>>108635888If you're planning to do the text to speech idea, try out The C Programming Language by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie. That's a pretty typical recommendation for new learners and you can find it online free of charge pretty easily.
>>108635935I find it hard to learn because I also jump!
Read the article "Command Line Programs for the Blind" by Karl Dahlke. You can find the article on the internet. Also, check out the writings and work T. V. Raman.
>>108635784Watch this video by Saqib Shaikhhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94swlF55tVcand read this thread which is full of good information for blind peoplehttps://stackoverflow.com/questions/118984/how-can-you-program-if-youre-blind/
>>108635784I think it will be very hard because a lot of programming involves scanning over existing code without actually reading it.You have to get a sense of the structure and doing this by reading line by line will be very time consuming and difficult.
>>108635784Maybe you should get into programming/scripting languages that either have few lines of code on average (Bash, Verilog, C++/Rust/C for Embedded Systems), simple programming languages that make heavy use of libraries (Python), or are highly structured (OOP) so you can kinda figure out where you need to go based on name and hierarchy (Java, C#). I think if you want to do normal programming then start with some Python. If that doesn't work (what I assume will happen is screen-reader doesn't really explain the indentations well) go straight to Java or C#. Alternatively, just start with HTML/JS/CSS and make some basic website just for fun. I feel like that could be good if you're just wanting something to try and without much setup.
>>108636481>>108636286>>108636157>>108636002thanks, will consider so
>>108635828>what even are braille displays
>>108635784the best programmer I knew was blind and had no hands. He drove his car with his feets and programmed via voice command. Cool guy retired a couple years ago so he never had to experience this clownshow.
>>108636562Can you tell us more about how you're even interacting with this website right now? Please?
>>108636619People cannot drive with their FEET you stupid idiot
>>108635784Buy a mac because their accessibility mode is really good.Vibecode a keylogging program that uses tts to tell you what keys you are pressing. Then screen read a textbook.
>I just want to contribute to tech! What makes you think we don't already have enough retards? And those CAN usually see.
>>108635784One wonders how OP, if actually blind, managed to select a picture to start the thread with.
>>108636587those arent cheap every nerd wants one so they can pretend to be whistler from sneakers
i wish you luck OP desu. stay cool and stay innovative!
>>108636745>VibecodeNO.>>108635784No matter what you do, don't go anywhere near AI. I'd say get a mentor who isn't blind, and pay for 1-2 coding sessions with them a week.
>>108639300Think guided "pair programming". I'd say it has a high chance of working, no? Especially if they have experience at a prestigious company (think a member of FAANG for example).
>>108635784L2VC.
>>108639380L2KYSYF.
>>108639380OP will learn jackshit from vibe coding. You hear me? Nothing. He will get absolutely nowhere in any way that matters.OP explicitly said "learn" and "contribute to tech" you retarded fucking Indian shill gremlin.
>>108636661If you wanna be a fucktard why don't you come here and say it to my face so i can answer you with a swift fist to the nose.
>>108638565
>>108635879there are braille displays tho, the ones i found just seem to cost thousands of dollars
