Only paid options right? Are there any legit free vpns?
>>

opera is free
>>
buy an ad and then kys
>>
>>108640047
is it any good?
>>
>>108640028
I can just get ublock and arkenfox, literally don't use anything else listed on there firefox is too bloated frankly desu
also
>chromium
>>
>>108640081
no
>>
>>108640028
Half of these are anti-features. I'd call you a midwit but you're a mouth breather.

ty
>>
>>108640081
>>108640101

It works for basic stuff: web browsing eg reading text, photos etc. Becomes laggy for videos..
>>
>>108640028
The only thing on this list that I actually want is the adblocker. I actually actively do not want several of those. Fortunately uBlock Origin still works fine on Chrome.
>>
>>108640028
>>
>>108640028
im so tired of you trannyfox and brave shills that i just use chrome with ublock lite. I would use edge but it looks like shit and reminds me of corporate job everytime i open it.
>>
in my experience vivaldi is faster than brave, edge, and firefox. it always gets the highest speedometer 3.1 score.
>>
>>108640028
>we got crypto stuff built-in

Yeah, that doesn't hit the same way in 2026 they want it to.
>>
>>108640028
>Tab groups
>Split view

What do they mean? Firefox does have these.
>>
>>108640028

It looks like I'm using Firefox then.

half of the shit in brave are antifeatures, or bloat that should be optional and its really easy to get in firefox, and its missing some points in the firefox one
>>
>>108640081
Opera's free VPN is good for one thing, bypassing restrictions that websites like cityheaven have, etc.
>>
>>108640028
>built-in
>positive
ah yes, i also use the built-in browser with my operating system
what a successful sales pitch
>>
>>108640028
>Translations are a minus

Is this because Firefox's translation feature is fully local where the processing never leaves your device while Brave uses an online-only cloud translation service that does it remotely? Maybe I don't want to have Brave know what I'm translating.
>>
>>108640351
>>108640372
I though that was supposed to imply a technicality something like firefox only having some languages available
>>
>>108640028
Thanks for letting me know about all the bloat. Sticking with Firefox with custom user.js.
>>
I need less.
>>
>>108640379
Firefox has been adding a lot more languages recently.
>>
>>108640412
that's fine I'm just saying it still lacking some is probably why it isn't a regular check instead I didn't make the stupid OP
>>
>>108640028
funny how google fucked its browser up so much that it's just getting phased out
>>
>Chromium
I would rather the internet not be dependent on one thing. Even if it's worse, I will stick to Gecko because someone has to.
>>
>>108640664
Chromium is the most compatible and standards-compliant web browser by a fair margin. It's also free and open source. There is surely value to various users by putting different chrome on it but using a niche engine is not providing you or anyone else any value.
>>
>>108640684
>standards-compliant
it's absolutely not google just has such a strong pull that whatever they fuck up becomes the new standard and everyone else has to adjust
>>
>>108640684
I don't disagree with the first half, but there is absolutely value to alternatives. Homogenization means no need for innovation.
99.99999% of websites work flawlessly with Gecko.
>>
>>108640704
That is not how the W3C works you ignoramus. If it was, the likes of Mozilla and Apple and Kling would say so but they don't that's completely made up by unemployed neckbeards and/or underage children looking for things to be outraged about in YouTube comments sections.
>>
>>108640028
>tab groups
>split view
all new firefox features
>default private search
always has been changeable in settings > search
>tor browsing

>>
>>108640028
why would I want that bloated browser?
>>

>>
>>108640028
>built in AI slop
both are trash
>>
>>108640028
No need when uBlock Origin exists
As above
No AI is a feature in 2026
Don't use vertical tabs
Don't use split tabs
Don't use offline media playlists (what even is this)
Don't use RSS reader
Don't use Reader mode
Night mode is on both
Translations fair enough. But does it use Googles model..?
Don't use syncing
I don't trust Brave Search
The only VPN I trust is Mullvad
I don't do video calls
I don't use Tor
I don't use Crypto anymore
I don't want memecoin miners in my browser
>>
>>108640664
Thing is, gecko is not worse in real life usage.
Benchmarks show an irrelevant usecase that does not exist in every day life.
>>
>built-in
No thank you, I hate built-in garbage and that's why I use Firefox. Even then I have to disable shit like pocket and AI features.
>>
>>108640278
No if you have to enable an official add on to get niche functionality it doesn't count anon!
>>
>>108642586
>add-on

They're built right into the base browser itself.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tab-groups

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/split-view-firefox
>>
>>108640028
Almost everything is an anti-feature and at least half of those features are Chromiums additions, that simply got included in the brave fork.
>>
>>108640116
>>108640327
So there's no point trying to use it to create accounts or use one's main accounts on various websites then i assume?
>>
>>108640028
uBlock Origin is better than Brave's built-in AdBlocker, Brave's is even worse than uBO Lite.
uBlock Origin updates Filterlists faster than Brave for YT so.
Firefox can choose from any AI-Assistant + has a free AI-Killswitch unlike Brave Origin.
Firefox has Tab Groups.
Firefox has Split View. (if it's still disabled for you for some reason use browser.tabs.splitView.enabled)
Firefox has offline media playlists.
Firefox has an RSS Reader + a billion of Addons for it.
Firefox has a Translator.
Firefox offers 2 default Private Search engines + Brave's as well.
Firefox has a built-in VPN now, based on Mullvad.
Firefox can do TOR browsing, also guess what engine TOR is based off of, lole.
Wallet/Crypto in a web browser is not a +, it's a -.

- whats the point of built in adblock if you just install ubo first thing anyway
- ubo works on youtube
- theres an ai sidebar you can enable in config
- there are tab groups
- there is split view

Here updated it just for you, since you brave Jeets are always late with updates just like when YT breaks and your subreddit goes crazy while uBO instantly updates their filterlists.

no thanks, useless browser

You don't work remotely?

>>108640028
Please name this excellent, incredible, superior browser in the OP next time, okay?
>>
>>108640028
I went from firefox to librewolf to Brave.
Librewolf was too schizo and made a lot of things too awkward for a daily driver browser, but Brave is truly great.
>inbuilt adblock that actually just blocks everything, even twitch ads
>tons of convenient privacy toggles
>crypto wallet built in if you want to use it, although I keep my crypto in other wallets and on a more secure machine its a nice feature
>can press a button to use TOR easily
Its just a great browser, I really like it and it filters trannies just because it has crypto features that make them dilate and seethe automatically. If they used monero instead of BAT token I'd probably sign up as an unironic paid shill for them.

Proton offers a free VPN, but I haven’t personally used it. What are you trying to do on those websites? Like I said, Opera’s VPN is usable, just that video play is laggy.
