I'm gonna switch since for some reason these are the only two distros which maintain projectM plugins for VLC. What's the general difference between these two and what are you going to miss out on by using these distros?

mageia is very full featured while openmandriva is more like sleek desktop versionnumber

What are the features?

Is there a way to view the Mageia and OpenMandriva repos online?

Unemploymenteia vs OpenUnemploimentiva

Why are these distros so underrated? Wasn't Mandrake/Mandriva huge back in the day?

I got Mageia on my laptop, liked it, then distro-hopped to Fedora and then never distro-hopped again. I can't remember much about it, but it was fine.

If you get any version of Linux that isn't hugely popular, then when something goes on, there won't be any information online to help you fix it. That would be my biggest warning for you about either of these two.
