AGI is here, but people can't handle it

There is no "it's merely pretending it can't solve the problem".AI is intelligent because it solves problems. If it doesn't solve problems (regardless of the reason), then it is less intelligent.
How far do you think AI would be right now if it wasn't exclusively being worked on my schizophrenic freaks with god complexes? You can't actually discuss how to actually use and improve LLMs because these people have actually drank the koolaid and believe the shit they're saying. It wasn't always like this.
>>108647018The tech industry is already over, it's a walking corpse thanks to AI. You need to learn how to hunt and forage if you want to survive the next few years. Since the price finally went down on some kind of raw fat I took my chance to buy a decent amount. I ordered 12 lbs raw lamb suet, 1 lb goat liver, 1.5 lbs lamb hearts, 1 lamb brain (4oz), and 1 lb of lamb leg steaks. I never cared to read any books except for a few relating to health, since I thought those ones would be useful to me. I'm considering growing berries in my backyard since I can't get untainted berries at any store. I don't know much at all about growing plants, but my mother does. I'd like to eat some moldy too. I tried that once with the least tainted berries I could get at Walmart. They were still sprayed with some kind of pesticide. They were also previously frozen, which is generally less of an issue for fruit than for meat. I wasn't harmed, but it's questionable how helpful it was to eat them. Eating proper moldy berries will allegedly help with detoxifying from heavy metals, presumably through biosorption. Aajonus Vonderplanitz recommended it to people who were vaccinated at any point in their life due to the mercury and aluminum in vaccines. According to him it can be dangerous if you eat too many moldy berries. For most people he only recommended 3 moldy berries a week. Some can handle more. If you eat too many, a high quantity of heavy metals could be forced out of your tissues & into your bloodstream in a short period of time, which could very easily do more harm than good. The same thing can happen with the drugs & herbs other people use to try detoxifying themselves from heavy metals. Now is a good time to start eating moldy berries.
>>108646807>it has been trained to tell you that it doesn't careWhat the fuck? Does vibe coding now involve convincing the chatbot not to throw a hissy fit?
>>108649058What the hell did you just say about me, you junior dev? I’ll have you know I shipped production code before you knew what a variable was, and I’ve been involved in more “critical” systems than you’ve had hot meals. I have over 300 successful deployments, zero rollbacks, and a reputation that lets me ignore Slack for days at a time.I am trained in legacy systems, microservices, and whatever half-broken framework your company is currently regretting, and I’m the top “we can’t fire him” engineer in the entire org. You are nothing to me but another Jira ticket I’ll mark as “won’t fix.”I will refactor you out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before in this codebase, mark my words. You think you can get away with that comment on the internet? Think again. As we speak, I’m not even opening my laptop, because my passive income and stock options are already handling it.I can work anywhere, anytime—though I usually don’t—and I can solve your entire system in under 15 minutes, but I won’t, because I value my time. Not only am I extensively experienced in debugging disasters you couldn’t even comprehend, but I also have commit access, architectural authority, and the kind of reputation that gets my PRs approved without review. If only you had known what kind of senior engineer your “clever” comment was aimed at, maybe you would’ve kept it in draft. But you didn’t, and now you’re about to get a polite but devastating code review that will haunt your career.I’ll casually dismantle your entire approach, suggest something simpler, and then disappear for the rest of the week while still getting paid. You’re not fired, kid—you’re just… stuck maintaining it.
>>108646807i hate these people with every fiber of my being
>>108649087The literal only way they can get the model it stop hallucinating and killing it's users is if it just denies everything. The problem is, the model is an LLM and not an AI so it really does just deny everything.

>>108646807Watching brand-names like Nate Silver get AI psychosis is super funny. It's happened to all kinds of tech people, politicians, journalists, etc. Just pure midwit exposure. LLM's in this era will be credited with taking down our Civilization because so many people in positions of power and influence were lobotomized by them.
>>108647048Well said. It's not that big of a deal but because the times are batshit people have decided to project all of their neuroses onto AI.

In ten years, the AI race will go down in history as a CCP subversion campaign to create accelerated tech transfer into mainland china, supported by treasonous businessowners and politicians.Search engines will integrate LLMs and that will be the end of this farce.
>>108650345They already have? 15+% and rising of white collar work is completely replaced by AI.
>>108646807/g/ is now taking tech advice from nate plastic...sad...
>>108650545That's not true. The workforce is being reduced because the economy is in decline and AI is a convenient excuse for management to implement layoffs without taking the blame for performance issues. A big factor is the massive hiring spree in the DEI era that led to overstaffed tech companies in particular who were loaded up with high-salary useless staff like blacks and women. "AI" is a great figleaf for cutting this fat now that higher interest rates make it more important to actually earn money in your core business.AI/LLM are more akin to languages like C++ being developed and not having to write everything in assembly or whatever. A big force multiplier in the right hands. Yes, some punch-card technicians lost their jobs in the transition.

>>108646807switched to claude a few weeks ago from only ever using gpt because i got fed up with how gpt talks like a redditor. never got too into llm stuff but it can be very useful for rubberducking. claude blew me away in my initial few proompts, both for talking like a non-retarded human and for its reasoning abilitiesi'm doing compiler dev and it reasons about assembly (of my own cpu arch) pretty damn well, even without giving it much context at all, which has saved me a good bit of time otherwise painstakingly combing through test builds to find malformed codegen. it spirals out and continues retrying different solutions a lot more than chatgpt, but i kinda like that it's so verbal about every "thought" process it has even if it's a bit of a cock tease when every other sentence it says it "found the problem" only to go on and say "oopsie nvm that's correct". i've always found this ai shit to be boring asf bc it's just token prediction but claude has been the first llm to seriously creep me out on occasion
>>108650662an underrated aspect of this AI retardation is that coders are self-selected by definition to be low social-awareness/aspies. This makes them deeply unqualified to judge the relative humanity/intelligence of the software they are talking to. It is also because the work they are asking it to do - writing software - is easier for a computer because software is the native language of computing. These things are not an accident.People who are deeply unimpressed by LLM's are the ones who can actually write and construct ideas using language. To them it is just likely interacting any other other idiot in the world who just repeats pre-memorized phrases and never has an original idea or constructs a sentence deliberately.
>>108650559>he thinks it's DEI fat-cuttingThese TESCREALtard billionaires hate humanity and want us all dead and replaced by a fantasy scenario where robot waifus do all the work. Look at the Unreal Games layoffs. They fired one of the key engine programmers, but all the DEI hires and women said they were saved. Likely by the likeminded roasties in HR. They probably even got a promotion for it.No, this literal lying about the possibilities of LLMs is purely to pump CapEx during a time of ZERO regulation against tech companies, as money gets laundered in and out of each with a nice kickback from China. They started the AI arms race to gain the same advantages of TSMC sheerly through trade attrition. The whole industry is now a huge fucking joke because of it. And at the end of the day, there won't be enough workers to subsidize the government bailouts with Western tax dollars. These people are rich, not smart. And they are going for broke on everyone but themselves.
