Any experience with this new kind of meshnet? I installed Nomadnet a few days ago but didn't have anything to connect to except their web testnet.
Is there a meshnet that uses WiFi/Bluetooth frequencies or protocols to connect peer-to-peer? That seems like it would be a winning technology.

I have tried messing with it, but I only have a SDR and it doesn't work properly over that, you need LoRa, which I don't have. Also NomadNet development somehow stopped, but the guy developing says it didn't or something ??? No clue what's going on. The idea is cool though, and it has packages on OpenBSD (both NomadNet and Reticulum), so that's good.

OP had the impression that nomadnet is some kind of peer-to-peer redddit. I do not think it is Reticulum's goal to provide the content, just the delivery of content. Seems like it is up to the users (like OP) to create interesting public facing networks if that is the kind of content they wish to host/consume
