you mean downgrade. it's like nobody at Framework even used the K400 line and just told some LLM to copy it just shittily. that left mouse button is the difference between the K400 and all of its copies, and the thing that makes it comfortable to use as a TV keyboard on your lap.

The only upgrade for k400 would be
Titanium / alu. case (light weight metal)
Keep the shape round so it's comfy to hold in hands
Mechanical switches (not clicky something very quiet)
Apple tier trackpad trackpad.

Of course they don't. Take your meds. And the K400 trackpad is meant to be used with your thumb when it is on your lap which is why buttons are placed where they're at and why the trackpad doesn't go all the way to the corner. Try clicking the corner of the Shamwork trackpad and the whole keyboard will rock around
>>
>>108655996
This looks straight ass. Why use a trackpad when a trackpoint can make do?

There's only like 3 manufacturers that make keyboards with a trackpoint--Lenovo, Tex, and Unicomp. The inexpensive ones used in server racks are complete ass, Tex models are too expensive, and Unicomp went full retard by not adding a middle scroll button. The only solution is to wire your own, unfortunately.

Absolute retard monkey behavior started by apple. Dedicated buttons are superior.

If they made this a backlit keyboard, it would be a worthy successor to the k830.
I don't know why Logitech hasn't released a updated version or continued the production of this model, it's now like $100 to get one of these keyboards used.
It would be probably better than a Logi anyway since it wouldn't require their Unifying software in order to work.
Non-BT wireless is an evil choice if your devices support BT peripherals natively.
The only justification for wireless stuff without BT is if your device is so old it can't install and run drivers for a USB dongle or something, otherwise there's no excuse in this day and age for that bullshit.
>>

>>
>>108656007
It's for home theaters, per their advertisement.

Supposedly, you can make it an "all in one" a la the Rasp Pi 400, but I might be misreading that and their images don't give the impression you can stick a Rasp Pi (or one of their motherboards) into it.

It's got a USECASE?.meme of couch-typing or needing a bluetooth, USB, wi-fi connecting-to-4-PC's set-up (I know a workshop that uses shitty logitech keyboards that need dongles, being able to just connect with bluetooth and switch would make their 3-4 Logitech's eWaste over 1 keyboard that can do 4 connections).

>>108656047
Writing numbers? 7,000,001,532 is easier on numberpad than reaching above qwerty, IME.
>>
>>108656279
The "haptic" is (supposedly) "better than the MacBook Pro!" but we'll see if that's just spiel or not when beta testers pay for it.
>>
>>108656555

>>
>>108655996

>>
>>108658713
The Steam Deck's one-thumb rolling clockwise/counter to scroll up/down on their trackpad(s) is nice. I don't know why they haven't given that to the Linux kernel to have touchpads gain it.

I guess due to most trackpads being huger than the two the Deck has.

That's a pretty interesting layout. ISO Enter key + normal US left shift. Arrow key are full height but thinner so the right shift is a bit more usable. Extra bottom on top right of the arrow keys for symmetry. ? / got kinda cucked though.

i have through my live bough 3 of these and the last one was a month ago and i was debating of buying a cheaper Chinese one ( i know these are Chinese but they do have a slight brand markup of 2-3 euro ). I do not know who the market for Framework is: if you want to pay brand tax just get the rii

At least it has fn lock, but defaulting to those retarded key combinations that aren't even scancodes like K400+ is extremely annoying. Insert on same key as delete on the other hand, no thanks.
