just keep consuming hardware upgrades you stupid fucking goy cattle
>>
uh oh, OP melty!
>>

You can do the regular PC thing of "just buying the components you need if they die" on these.
>>
>>108658142
its a scam since the replacement parts are overpriced
>>
>>108658142
a MacBook Air from last year for 800 dollars will last you a decade and you won't have to think about consuming upgrades for it
>>
>>108658225
>a MacBook
fucking eww
>>
>>108658205
not at all
>>
>>108658225
>decade
The SSD that the computer needs to function won't last a decade. Can you even replace the battery or did they serialize that?
>>
>>108658225
1) Why would Linux users buy a Mac if they have no intention of going iToddler?
2) Sure, you're missing that >>108658142 . In a decade, I can just buy a replacement battery, a new NVMe hard-drive, and some RAM (if needed) and be on my way.

You can't really say the same with a Mac Book, with it's soldiered on storage and RAM. Not to mention how much a pain in the ass the Macbook is to open and close. Whereas, the Framework is INTENTIONALLY designed to be openable.

>just spend another $1000 on top of the 2000 you already paid just so a thinner laptop 10 years from now can mog the fuck out of your SoC
>>
>>108658107
How else are they going to be profitable?
>>
test
>>
>>108658107
Vendor lock-in for no reason at all, at least Apple has a coherent ecosystem.
>>
>>108658205
Who said you have to buy theirs? The specs are all open. Pick any vendor from China or make it yourself if you can find it cheaper.

>DIY edition
battery is still mandatory, but i don't need one
