I am fed up with this awful distro. It genuinely sucks. Tiny repositories, constant crashes even from native apps, it blows. What should I hop to? I am a raging chud that unironically uses a custom built Linux desktop for work now.

>>108664318>I am fed up with this awful distro. And with that, Mandriva Linux's market share dropped by 33%.
>>108664318The only other Distro that is chuddy in nature is probably Artix, though not sure how stable it is. Maybe there are some other ones, but I'm considering Void even though it's ran by trannies because it's pretty easy to find alternative void-package repos and in theory it's viable to host your own repos. Turn the userbase chuddier and chuddier until the gayest of the bunch leave for Chimera or Alpine.
>>108664371>>108664318I use Artix on desktop and Void on laptop. Both are good both are systemd free. If you can't be arsed installing from scratch like me Void has an XFCE version and Artix has a community version, in both of these all the hard work is done for you.
>>108664371>>108664452My main concern with artix is the stability desu. Particularly with librecad, blender, and gimp. I also like to do a little gaymen in my off time. Mandriva crashes constantly when I'm doing these things and I have lost hours of work in the past
>>108664318The new Unga Bunga LTS drops tomorrow afternoon. I'm on the beta right now and it's pretty nice. Lube your love gasket because snapd is bigger than ever.
>>108664318For me it's Fedora (or RHEL/ALMA for enterprise) or Windows. Nothing else worth considering.
>>108664538Enjoy your buggy incomplete rust coretools replacements.
>>108664643Yeah that's what I'm thinking. For my daily driver it's gotta be something mainstream unfortunately. Gonna go with the fedora xfce spin
>>108664318Perhaps it's time to mature and invest in a genuine UNIX laptop like the Apple M5, rather than relying on a patchwork OS created by IBM, Red Hat, Google, AMD, and NVIDIA, trannies.
>>108664648the whole linux ecosystem has been trashed by useful idiots. i'm only still using it out of spite.
>>108664318>openmangina
I like Arch. You should try that.
Cachyos or bazzite
>>108664318use a regular distro for normal people - like ubuntu
>>108664473don't bother with artix/arch if you actually need to use a computer
Devuan? AlmaLinux?
>>108664318>What should I hop to?you could try something someone cares about...
>>108664473Artix, Arch and derivatives are not for people who want stability or security. They're for hobbyists, gamers, people who need to tinker to squeeze every last fps out of their hardware.
>>108664452Former void user, I really liked how fast runit was and how easy it was to view and manage services, but I still don't get why people hate systemd. What's the big issue outside of slightly slower boot times and an extra few MB of ram being used?
maybe you want to search for other distros without libselinux
Devuan and Artix is the new autismochud stronghold.
>>108664318If you don't mind fucking with packages then Artix for sure.
>>108664473Ah so then use fucking mint desu.
>>108664318if you want something what just works, choose LinuxMint
>>108664318Le hekin obscure distro doesn't work? No waySince you use it for work, you'd want something reliable and with compatibility. But you still want to rice? I suggest Kubuntu. You won't be special like the tryhard distros, but you will have the ease of mind of a working-man with the ability to rice as much as your little heart desires!
