It is extremely apparent to anyone with s brain that at some point of moores law you reach a point where a chip has essentially "enough" computing power that going further is just unnecessary unless you're going for gaming etc. At what point in moores law would you say that point was? I would say around 3rd gen i5 around 2012ish. Anything else is complete bloat just sold to you as better but to do all the things youd need like browsing, torrenting, watching videos you shouldn't need more compute. But software is now adding all this extra telemetry, bloat, bs features. To justify people upgrading to better hardware. I get getting better hardware for ai and ggaming the most cutting edge but for basic computer use its all a scam.Thoughts?
