What do you guys recommend/use for desktop speakers?
>>
>>108681222
for the average retard, just get whatever powered edifier set seems the right price for you online.
if you care about getting the most for your money, seek out used speakers. Polk, KEF and Klipsch bookshelfs are all great value on the used market, but you will need an amp within their power specifications to drive them best.

moved my CRT and Superstation to its own space, to the left behind my desk. Had to use a different camera app for the CRT pic for the refresh rate, hence why it's shittier quality.
>>108679139
The desk being so far away from the wall wouldn't bother me so much if it wasn't also at the foot of the bed. I could see myself accidentally kicking the desk or shit on it if it was that close relatively easily (but I'm also kinda tall so take that for what it's worth).

>why?
a while back i had a power outage, and somehow it caused the uefi to get reset. ryzen 9 default core boost / oc settings kicked in while i was using the stock cooler. after hours of rendering i realized how badly things got badly fucked because of the heat buildup (i was using a cooler master q500l case at the time which is basically an oven).

the result: 3 fuses partially failed. they had between 20-100 ohms, which made them act like little resistors and not fuses. the voltage inside the usb3 ports was cycling constantly under load between 3.5v - 4v, which killed my webcam, and made it impossible to use any usb devices that require more than half an amp. i also lost rgb functions in the usb area and the LEDs were constantly flickering.

so far i've replaced the rgb fuse successfully, and replaced one broken rgb pin while i was at it.

>>108697472
Honestly, it looks good and the hardware is insane. Good setup, but I have to admit the chair doesn't fit and the cables are ugly, still a dream setup with classy vibes. I like the all black + wood combination.
>>
>>108697817
There isnt really a lot to do about cables in this case though, I can't drill into the desk for example to affix things to it.
I don't mind the chair, I used to have a normal office chair with locking casters but my kids spin it around too much and it made me worried about the joystick mounts.
>>
>>108697869
>but my kids spin it around too much and it made me worried about the joystick mounts.
Alright, I mean you already won in life, so this doesn't really matter.
>There isnt really a lot to do about cables in this case though
I suck at cable management and my shit looks like hell, but you CAN do a lot. First of all, you could bundle your cables from your PC to your desk, you could zip your speaker cables and wire them down clean, you could wire your controller cables UNDER your desk and more.
>>
>>108695773
What's your tiny tv called and how do you make it work
>>
>>108697965
The only thing not wired under the desk is the control panel as it's cable is too short the joysticks are already under the desk.
The stuff on too is a USB hub, dac, and kbm wires.
I'm not really sure what to do about the monitor wire as it's already stretched to its max length just being in the middle of the desk and I can't find dp 2.1 longer than 2m.
I have thought about putting everything but the dac into the hub but I'm not sure how that would go and it's cable to my PC is pitifully short.
>>
>>108697989
It's a 9'' kitchen TV, Sony Trinitron KV-9PT60. It's connected to my desktop as a third monitor with a $9 converter, which works surprisingly well. Sometimes I use it to watch video, but it mostly runs the Weatherstar 4000 simulator at https://battaglia.ddns.net/twc/.
>>
>>108698190
Nice. Thank you. Thinking of something similar but maybe with a pi at the end. Converter helps me figure that out.
