>leave this jewish device on airplane mode for almost a year so i can jailbreak it
>follow the jailbreak guide
>says it will update itself if it connects to the internet and there is free storage
>guide says fill the storage with only 50-90 MB remaining
>fill up the storage so there is only 60 MB free on it
>guide also says to make sure there are no .bin files or update files on the device
>triple check there is only 60 MB free on it
>connect the device to the internet and enable ads (its part of the jailbreak)
>restart the device so ads appear and i can continue with the jailbreak
>it somehow managed to pull almost an entire GIGABYTE of storage out of thin air and update itself
>what the fuck
>it turns itself on
>"700 MB remaining"
what the actual fuck? how did the kikes manage to do this?

Use a firewall on your router so you can block the update domains and allow jailbreak domains.

Can you please tell me more? I'm looking for a really small ereader that can fit into a pocket or at least a large pocket, want to be able to read whatever pdfs and epubs I already have on my computer, and anything from amazon is obviously a nonstarter.

I was looking at the xteink x4 but I've never heard of the one you posted. How is it?
>>
>>108681580

lol

>Yes, the Kindle Scribe still includes free, unlimited cloud backup for all your handwritten notebooks and annotations. Unlike competitors like the reMarkable 2, which requires a monthly "Connect" subscription for full cloud syncing, Amazon provides this service at no extra cost.

idk, it's not pure jew.

They reversed their position and you can also buy picrel, so go get it.

https://www.amazon.com/Camp-Saints-Jean-Raspail/dp/B0FG4MJS8K

apparently it's an option for free with the audible trial, so free way to get it if you are eligible.
>>
Maybe you did something wrong, dipshit.
>>
>>108683277
that one is 6 inch, same as kindle so not really pocket friendly. But pocketbooks makes good devices.

>>108681481
One thing that is anoying is popup every now and then (only in main menu) that tells you about cool new features that u missing without conecting to web. Wish i could disable that shit.

The boox 10.3 is great. Loving mine after finally getting it after selling my go 7. I still miss the physical buttons but the large screen is nice. Also not having expandable memory sucks. I just have mihon delete chapters after I've read them.

I tried to jailbreak mine but I had to create an amazon US account to enable ads and it was a huge pain in the ass
Does the jailbreak process still require an amazon US account with ads on?
>>
>>108681481
Hey I use that too.
I like that unlike kindle, you can actually turn it off so the battery lasts forever since I never read lmao
interface is a bit clunkier than kindle though, also dunno how to add dictionaries
>>
>>108685167
Most people have to idea.
His amazon shopping business is build on commercial espionage + extortion. It's literally the foundation of it.
Any small merchant knows this. They make sure to steal your supplier and outsetll you by dumping the price low enough to make you go out of business. You refure to disclose your supplier -> they kick you out of the platform.
>>
>>108683277
Nta but just get the xteink x4, its dirt cheap and i dont think there is more ereaders at that size, just put the custom firmware on it
>>
It probably keeps that amount free for system updates. Not everything is a jewish conspiracy. Use your own brain for once, why would Amazon secretly pay more money to produce these devices with extra storage and then not tell anyone about it? Why not just spend less money and use smaller amounts of storage?
>>
>>108680327
>jailbreak it
what's the use case for this? I haven't had a kindle in a bit but did they manage to disable loading 3rd party books with calibre or something?
>>
>>108684835
It's fine to put together your own computers. If you have a 3d printer, maybe it doesn't even look frankenstein at this point.

OTOH there are obviously less locked down/annoying eink readers you can just buy.
>>
I only read comic books.
>>
>>108686617
color eink is adequate now, but maybe you prefer OLED or w/e on some device(s), the colors are still better

How pocket unfriendly is 6 inches really? I looked it up and my phone already has a 6.4" screen. Granted, it's a narrower aspect ratio, but it's still big. Is it just pretty wide?

>>108686521
Do you have one? I actually just looked up the size of the Verse and it's over 4" wide which would make it harder to carry in a pocket.

What do you like about the xteink? Can it read PDFs in a pinch?

I have up e ink readers after my good friend was beat to death by migrants who wanted to steal what they thought was his iPad. He was actually a really good martial artists but he wasn’t maintaining his situational awareness (because he was reading) and they knocked him out from behind. He was then kicked and stomped repeatedly in the head and never recovered.

i just ordered one, got it for the same reason as you, wanted to something that could fit on my pocket during long bus rides.
about pdf, their site says it can load pdf, but people recomend to convert files to xtc, something i have to admit its that their reddit comunity has made a bunch of tools an even a custom firmware for it.

Yeah, the screen and the CPU can't handle big PDFs (color, pictures, book scans) so you should use a tablet for that.
>>
>>108686521
Did you know if you flip that phone over it already has a screen?
>>
>>108686577
Yes, which jailbreaking gets around.

Honestly, if OP doesn't want to use his phone and laptop (like a smarty) which gets around these jails, he should get a chinkheld like the XTE4 or whatever it's called, magnet it on the back of his phone and read (on his phone like a smarty) that way.

yes, from top to bottom:
-unlock, double click for lock, click for reading app menu
-next page, if u hold it down it jumps 10 page per second
-previous page, if u hold it down goes back 10 page per second
-main menu

With they were closer to middle of that chin, more in style of old kindle oasis. But they are good quality
Touuch screen also works as normal but i think u can lock it somewhere and use just buttons

pdf on a small device is like browsing facebook/youtube on ie5

What is the best website to pirate Manga from to read on ereaders and what format should they be in for optimal reading experiences?
>>
this lil nigga is one of the few tech articles I would recommend everyone to buy. I love reading on it, it's very convenient. the battery is easy to swap if it ever dies
>>
>>108680327
just pay extra 10 bucks and buy a kobo so you don't have a headache.
>>
>>108693155
Yeah I have the exact same libra 2. Best tech purchase of my life. My battery died and I almost wanted to replace it but found out I had exactly 1 week of warranty left and they repaired it for me. But I heard about mods that extend the battery life a lot, did you do that? And if so how much does it actually extend.
>>
>>108693189
Had mine for a few years now, paid 120 eurobucks brand new and haven't needed to swap the battery yet, though I'm not a heavy reader. The inside is honeycomb so you could theoretically fit a larger battery in there. Apparently people have sourced same-form-factor batteries with higher capacity. The only downside is that this model requires soldering the battery, apparently the new generations are easier to swap. stole this pic from a reddit post

OP here. /g/ always blaming the OP for not "following the guide" when the guide doesn't mention anything about the kindle deleting your sideloaded books when connecting to the internet for the first time in a while. yes it really does that. it goes out of its way to delete everything you put on it via calibre. that's how it managed to free so much space and update itself.
>>
>>108688620
It's not even the best for ereaders. Moom+Reader lets you open annotated PDFs.
>>
>>108680327
i could understand that many years ago the choice of software and hardware was quite poor. so ppl tried to get the max out of hardware with tricks, use windows, etc.

but now you literally have huge choice of fine devices, but you still chose from greedy as fuck corp and then suffer to install normal software. same as millions still use windows 11, complain, but do nothing to improve experience, like switching to linux or at least macos (which is less shitty than windows)

ppl like you are pathetic and just deserve to suffer.
