picrel, HDCP is part of the HDMI spec.
A $5 chink hdmi switch or most any HDMI-whatever-HDMI extender is going to strip that shit tho, it's not exactly Fort Knox Grade. Switches (and matrixes, etc) also offer the advantage of doubling your HDMI cable needs.
