Is there a list of anima character knowledge?
>>
Anima is very expensive to train. It costs at least two to three times more computational resources than SDXL even with 16gb vram is fucking slow.
>>
>>108696750
> has better interpretation of copyrighted characters and styles
That doesn't matter much, considering training loras for Anima is cheap and easy.

> When NAIv5 releases, it will be a groundbreaking event.

I hope they will cook this time on the first try. (v4 was nice, but way too noisy) But for the next few months, anima will be king.

>>108696785
> it's not good at backgrounds because it's heavily quantized
No, I don't think that's the reason. Check all the local unstable models - they fail with bgs in the same way the NAI does. Anima too isn't really stable with bgs for some artists without distill loras at low weights.
>>

I don't understand the appeal of a half baked anime model where the user has to pay out of pocket for GPU hours to refine model that still needs more training, this never happened before.

The other week I wanted to generate an image, you know, just a simple picture from a prompt. I didn’t want a node based workflow interface, or a dependency conflict resolver. I also wasn’t interested in something that would require CUDA toolkit rebuilds, would demand specific PyTorch builds, or would force me to compile xFormers from source. When I click "Queue Prompt," I don’t want to have to figure out which custom node broke because someone pushed a breaking change to their repo. I just wanted txt2img.

I'm stuck with Klein 9B and Zit, have no idea if there are any good artistic loras for them.
SDXL has tons of them but for sdxl, I can't recommend any actual models. Your best bet is to download bunch of the most popular ones and test them on your own. You'll see that 99% of them are the same or even bad, especially all the fried anime tunes.
Try searching for z image turbo or z image base loras first and then fall back to sdxl.

Just seeing if it's flexible is usually a pretty good test. With modern models testing using text is a pretty good balance check once you're close too. Too much or too little influence really fucks with text, it pretty sensitive there. For styles it's a bit harder, I mostly use color or composition to see when it's too much.

It's a true base model. No other reason. The only other comparable models are base Illustrious and Noob (old, shit and outdated), and Chroma (schizo bake but not that bad for training actually).

ZIB, the Kleins, Qwen-Image, Wan, Ernie, none of these are base models. They are at minimum heavily aesthetics tuned and some have significant RL on top of that (Ernie, Qwen).

To me it looks like anima will be a good anime checkpoint as it learns the characters and some styles pretty well. It also is easy to train loras for.

In other ways it doesn't feel as capable as wan or qwen image, nor is it an edit model like klein or qwen image edit which is obviously also something that would have great demand... I think people will also want an edit model that is well-trained in anime.

Maybe a "partial successor"?
