As a photography fag, I hope it actually improves things so that IG goes back to being about photos and not reels. The introduction of reels has made it absolute shit and photographers I know have been using it less and less.

Better reach for new clients and general commercial reasons. Flickr is for just sharing with other photographers or archiving your shit, while IG is good for showing off your work to other photographers and normies that want to hire you.
Half the people I follow are photographers and the other half are people that found my stuff on IG and wanted me to take photos of them.
