FACT: Touchpads are a shitty implementation of an even shittier paradigm. The pointer paradigm and subsequent computer mouse should have never been invented. It a peripheral that allows low IQ goycattle to use machines they have no use for and that's it. If you make digital art get a tablet. If you play games get a controller. What is the use case for a mouse? Even the name is low IQ shit. When you use a mouse for every mundane task you look like an actual retard having a melty at your computer.

If apple has one good thing is their trackpads. There's this little program you can use to have hundreds of gestures on that little shit. Cool thing is, you can use both a mouse and a trackpad at the same time and these things also have palm rejection. You can replace some awkward keyboard shortcuts.
