well what's interesting is that most pdf/epub files i download from there can be losslessly optimized often by a lot, usually at least 20-30%, idk why they don't have a script that does it automatically to everything they host, probably has to do with making sure no metadata or anything gets accidentally thrown out and making sure the checksum matches the original file for proper accurate archival but yeah it could be less.
