>>108719166the only differences between using a membrane vs pcb for contact pads are:1. depending on how the membrane is mounted to the backing plate, they can feel less solid underneath the switch actuation feel, but in the steam controller the membranes mounted well like the playstation controllers which i've never seen anyone complain about before2. membranes can corrode in humid environments IIRC, so do pcbs but membranes are really difficult to repair without replacing the whole thing 3. weight
