I'm modding an ancient version of Minecraft and doing all sorts of things to it. What graphical tricks would you consider 'advanced' for a game that primarily uses OpenGL 1.x?

so you convert dirt brick to sand bricks wow great job anon, im sure mom would be proud, you can even see the horizontally warping sand block glitch because he uses the wrong start position on dynamic sand blocks, why don't you try fixing it?

expand on the alpha terrain generationits the coolest out of all the old versions but has only a whole of 4 biomes and is limited by the old height limit
