Has AI ever made you cry?
It seems the whole AI thing is fueling certain leftists' inferiority complex. Unabomber's manifesto has some good insight into the inferiority complex among some leftist people. I think these people feel overwhelmed being constantly reminded by AI by the idea they just fucking suck at life. Like they have no way to process this except insane anger and fear.

>>108723371when its dubious 'benefits' to humanity are constantly being plugged by inveterate wankers like Altman and Musk, not to mention actual psychos like Larry Ellison, it's hardly surprising when AI has something of an image problem. It's a bit like Bitcoin, they just ignore everyone inconveniently pointing out the constantly rising resource requirements, etc.

>>108723150yeah of laughterone day i was asking some shit about why some code was giving me an error, it spits out a bunch of code then in the same reply went "wait no it still has the same error" and then gave more code (the correct one), and that sent me
>>108723371It's not even leftists in particular but it has been such a huge phenomenon that most people are low value but assert they have value and skills and it's literally killing them emotionally and mentally.Anything AI is of course one of the things taking away their right to be a 1%er

>>108723150Gee, it's almost like a technology which is killing art, killing the internet, and devalues human intelligence/creativity may generate some angst among people who will face the consequences for the rest of their lives.
Makes sense that younger adults would be anti-AI. They probably have had more experience and have learned more about it so they've developed an opinion of it that leans towards negative because as we've seen over and over again, AI isn't really developing a lot of high quality work despite getting a free pass on digital piracy at a level never seen before. If I were starting out in the job market I'd be more worried about automation of physical work than anything else
>>108726260the massive opinion divide on ai between boomers and every single younger generation after them really highlights how they just don't give a single shit about anyone that comes after them
